I hope all is well. Our summer has been a busy one and we hope things settle down somewhat this the fall. Over the past year we have seen the percentage of people we see with parasite issues increase dramatically (possibly double). This may be due to enhanced detection methods on our part or just due to the continuing deterioration of peoples health due to our stressful, toxic environment. We have also recently had our share of cases where midstream we had to switch parasite remedies due to either resistance or intolerance. Typically we try to determine the source of infection and in our practice it appears the parasites are either coming from the persons water source or restaurant contamination. We have found that older homes (with older pipes) often build up deposits in the pipes that can end up as breeding grounds for parasites. If the person using AK testing weakens on their water sample and it is negated by an anti-parasitic substance, that definitely hints that the water could be an issue. Even if the patient filters their water, they bathe and brush their teeth in the unfiltered water. And sometimes the water filtration device becomes infested too!
So what do you do under those circumstances? Oftentimes we just need to have the patient one at a time turn on each faucet in the house full blast (cold and hot mixed) for 30 minutes and the high pressure will clear things at least temporarily (thus this may need to be done periodically). Once the water no longer weakens on AK testing your treatment has a much higher chance of success. Restaurants are often sources due to the food handlers not using proper hygiene and thus infecting your food. In using remedies to treat parasites we like to use single herbs as the remedies that have many anti-parasitics mixed together often have a few things the patient is sensitive to and not enough of the remedy the parasite is sensitive to to the remedy the problem. Artecin and Berbercap by Thorne Research (1-800-228-1966) and Juglans Nigra (Eclectic Institute 1-800-332-HERB) are the products I use the most though our video goes into all this in much more detail. To keep the parasites away we need to minimize the source of exposure, build the patient up with the proper nutrients they need, heal their gut integrity etc. It is a very fixable condition that in the long run will greatly increase the health level of your patient.
Products of The Month
- The Desensitizer (Laseronix 1-808-879-9391) These folks have updated this great little tool. The Desensitizer is a 635nm, 5mw helium neon laser that outputs a rectangular line. In my opinion it has all the benefits of the much more expensive lasers of this type plus more. They took their Basic laser (same specs as above and only $220) and enhanced it biophontonically with the remedial frequencies to all the composite vials in the Test Kit Consultant test Kits. This includes all the various microbes, toxic metals, pesticides, food additives, industrial chemicals, pollens, dentals, etc. The newest model has added all the newest composites we spoke about in the last newsletter. The cost is $550 (similar type lasers without the remedial frequencies can be many times the price, compare the specs and see). It is the only laser I presently use and I own three of them.
- We really encourage those of you that have purchased test kits to get our latest video (see page 3) to get the complete protocols of using these most efficiently. It will save you time and effort in the long run. We have found that if you get a positive test on the vials for Chlamydia, protozoa or rickettsia that typically one of the remedies we recommend for parasites or Berbercap (Thorne 1-800-228-1966) are the treatments of choice.
CASE HISTORY
Roberta is a 26 year old single mom and college student. She presented with extreme exhaustion, mood swings, craving sweets, and postural hypotension. She had been on Levoxyl for twenty months, which lowered her TSH level but did not change her symptomotology.
Our exam suggested evidence of a bacterial problem (I would have guessed fungal), wheat sensitivity, mercury problems (runs in her family) and a relative estrogen excess (based on vials by Test Kit Consultants and an extensive history). We desensitized her with the laser, placed her on Berbercap, Thiocid, Olive-X, L-Tyrosine and Basic Nutrients I (all Thorne). She reported back in 3 weeks and was totally asymptomatic. She has successfully re-introduced wheat into her diet and continues to take Basic Nutrients, L-Tyrosine and Thiocid.
Usually young adults like Roberta if they are totally compliant respond very quickly. We sometimes find patients with severe dysbiosis of many types simultaneously (fungal, parasitic, bacterial) that can take longer to resolve. The key seems to be patient compliance and thoroughness of the exam so that you can find and treat all the variables, prescribe the right remedies, etc. With our new test methods, this is not very time consuming and the results are very rewarding. When toxic metals are a major issue for the patient that too slows down progress but with patience and perseverance your results usually appear to far surpass those of many other practitioners.
