I am very happy to announce the 6th product in the Supreme Nutrition line (available from Mid American Marketing 1-800-922-1744): Takesumi Supreme. I have been working on this for awhile and am happy to see it come to fruition. My oldest son recently spent a year in Japan. While there, he came across a product that is well known in Japan but has never reached the US market and as far as I know has never been used as a stand alone supplement, even in the Far East (despite all its health promoting effects). In Japan, it is known as Takesumi.
To put it simply- it is derived from bamboo that is carbonized under very specific conditions. Most of the literature on it is from the orient and a little hard to decipher. First, I would like to share my clinical experiences. Takesumi on AK testing strengthens more weak G-2 muscles than any product I have tested to date. It fairly routinely blocks positive tests to toxic metals, chemicals, and often foods. I look at it as a supreme detoxification product.
Takesumi also appears to adsorb myco and endotoxins (and other bio-toxins) from various organisms. It takes the load off the liver and kidneys and thus acts in an anti-aging fashion. It should thus be great to minimize die-off reactions. Use it also to adsorb putrefication and fermentation byproducts of undigested food, etc. It is also reported to adsorb radiation (radon, nuclear, etc.).
It does have anti-fungal and anti-bacterial properties but not as strong as Morinda or Melia do. Because of the porous nature of the bamboo, it is an amazing adsorber (up to 10x more so than wood treated similarly, according to many sources). Research from Japan claims it emits far infrared rays (thus improving circulation) as well as negative ions and shields the body from EMF’s. It also is a natural source of minerals (macro and trace) and is reported to be alkalizing.
It was very difficult for us to get this product in the quantity needed to distribute it. It took many months to find a few wholesale sources (we found 6) and with blind muscle testing we narrowed it down to 2 potential sources that met our standards. It took going through a lot of red tape to get the samples and find someone who would export it. I had my own personal supply that I shared with a few long term patients and am happy now we can make this unique product available here in the US.
Takesumi, as far as we can tell it cannot be encapsulated without adding flowing agents etc. due to its light density etc. Therefore we are making it available in powder form. It is tasteless and dissolves in water so it is not difficult to take. We recommend everyone take it periodically (my guess would be a round of it twice yearly for the average person) for detoxification- some people for longer periods at a time, and some for shorter depending on their degree of toxicity and exposure to environmental contaminants (past and present). Use your AK skills to determine this. I have seen people need it for weeks to months at a time. Some still need it since I first started testing it 5 months ago. It should also be taken whenever you have been exposed to a food or chemical you are sensitive to as it will hopefully shorten the severity and duration of the reaction. My son suffers from a degree of cognitive impairment and loss of co -ordination when eating a food he is sensitive to. For him, Takesumi aborts the reaction and he returns to normal quickly. I found on one doctor who was a very good muscle tester but couldn't accurately test his family (I have seen that fairly often), that Takesumi corrected this (almost as if it normalized some type energetic imbalance).
A dose (scoop enclosed) equals 1/4 teaspoon and we typically have people take 2-3 doses daily (1/4 teaspoon is about 500mg.) for a complete bottle and then re-evaluate. Because of its strong detoxification properties, it can go a long way in promoting healing. For acute toxic exposures and/or reactions, I would triple the dose. The only possible contra-indication I know of is not to take it, if you have been diagnosed with variegate porphyria.
We recommend it not be taken at the same time as pharmaceuticals as it could adsorb them. I prefer first thing in the morning, mid afternoon and at bed but anytime two hours away from medications works best. In Japan and other far eastern countries, they add it to specialty breads (they claim it is a cancer preventative) and soba noodles and even coffee and tea as they feel it does not adsorb nutrients but actually imparts them to the food, making it more healthful. It does not effect the taste of the product. Some also use it as tooth powder. At this point I plan to have people take it between meals but will be experimenting both ways (I will be adding it to certain recipes and using the “distance test” we teach, comparing the healthfulness of a food with vs. without it added).
Feel free to give me lots of feedback on this product. I am very excited about it and want to track what it is doing for a wide variety of patients and conditions.
