Dear Colleagues;
I hope you are doing well. We are gearing up for our 2017 seminars as follows.
Upcoming Seminars New York and LA
We have 2 seminars planned this spring. The first one will be in Los Angeles on March 12th and then in NYC on March 19th. Time: 9am-5pm Hotels are as follows
March 12
SHERATON GATEWAY LOS ANGELES
6101 West Century Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA 90045
March 19
SHERATON LAGUARDIA EAST HOTEL
135-20 39th Avenue, Flushing, NY 11354
You will learn quick and easy ways to test for and treat:
· dysbiosis (fungal, parasitic, bacterial, viral, Lyme)
· food sensitivities/toxicities
· metal toxicity
· chemical intolerance
· blood coagulation problems
· mycotoxins
· biofilms
· SIBO
· nutritional deficiencies and reactions etc.
You will find using these protocols will help many chronic conditions in patients including but not limited to fatigue, fibromyalgia, arthritis, most gastro-intestinal issues, dermatological conditions, Lyme related issues, asthma, headaches of all types, autoimmune issues, chronic musculoskeletal conditions, etc. We will also be teaching new provocation techniques since we last taught in NYC and LA which greatly help minimize false negatives and find hidden issues we often miss with applied kinesiology and other muscle testing techniques, while also speeding up the testing process. The class is suited for both the beginning and advanced practitioner.
These techniques have been successful at increasing doctor’s referrals as well give the physician a broader understanding of chronic health issues.
To register go to http://michaellebowitzdc.com/html/2017Seminars/index.html Cost is $250 Students and first year docs as well as assistants can get a 50% discount but must register by phone. Call 970-201-1457. The last 4 of 5 seminars have sold out early as we limit attendance to make sure the workshops gets all the needed individual attention the practitioners need. Please register early to reserve a spot. We will not be filming these classes.
Skills in basic muscle testing (how to discern a strong muscle from a weak one) are the only prerequisites. This class will count towards ICAK diplomate hours if needed.
TRAFFIC ACCIDENT INJURY – in patients own words
In February 2016 I (Teri a 40 year old female) was involved in an unavoidable low speed traffic accident. (It was estimated that my speed was less than 25 MPH, the air bags did not deploy.) A driver made a last minute left hand turn right in front of my vehicle. Due to the angle of my truck when attempting an evasive maneuver I sustained what is considered the worst type of whiplash, diagonal whiplash. I also had an old injury in my lower back, a herniated disc of the L-5/S-1.
In 2015 the lower lumbar issue had been diagnosed with an MRI. The diagnosis of herniated disc included inflammatory arthritis in L1 through L5 due to long term inflammation in the area.
The 2016 whiplash injury exacerbated the pain stemming from the lower back issues and new pain became apparent in my middle back, neck and in the form of migraines. I was given Ibuprofen 600 mg. and Hydrocodon-Acetaminophen 5-325 for pain management. I would stay away from the latter medication as much as possible but was taking the Ibuprofen two to three times a day to manage pain and keep it at about a 5 level of pain. The pain in the lower back, neck and migraines would be as high as 7-8 and sometimes a 10, on a scale of 1-10. There was also intermittent dizziness that increased as the weeks and months progressed.
Treatment included physical therapy and massage. To date the diagnosis of the dizziness has not been determined but inner ear issues were eliminated with testing.
In September 2016 the pain increased and the dizziness increased to levels that were intolerable to perform the demands of my employment. I was given more potent Hydrocodon-Acetaminophn 10-325 and multiple shots of Toradol to manage pain.
As of November 2016 three MRI’s have been administered, lower lumbar spine, cervical spine and brain, no structural or neurological issues have been detected by the MRI’s. A neurologist appointment for February 2017 is pending.
SYMPTOM SUMMARY
· Increased migraines
· Increased dizziness
· Increased lightheadedness
· Nausea sometimes affects appetite
· Pressure in the back of neck and head
· Pressure behind eyes feels like eyes are popping out
· Tingling in hands and fingers to elbows, random occurrences
· Clicking in neck, sounds like a pen clicking, occurs frequently when turning neck in various positions
· Foggy mind and random difficulty in expressing thoughts, can picture what I want to say in my mind, unable to express verbally without delay.
· Quickly fatigued, unable to complete normal tasks, cleaning, sweeping, standing, cooking
LIFESTYLE COMPLETELY CHANGED
I have gone from an extremely active independent lifestyle to one a physically challenged person. My work duties used to include driving trucks, ATV’s and boats, operating weapons and equipment and even rappelling from helicopters. Six months after the accident, the symptoms increased to the level that changed my mobility completely. I had to walk with a cane. I was limited to staying at home many times afraid to go anywhere on a bad day especially drive. I asked for rides as often as I could, especially for anything over a half hour away. The length of the drive exhausted my energy and I am afraid it will compromise my ability to drive.
VISITING DR. MICHAEL LEBOWITZ
I was treated by Dr. M. LEBOWITZ daily in late November 2016 for a week and for a two week period in late December. I am still keeping in touch with him via e-mail (I live on a different island) and continuing supplements and diet control at home via his instructions. Since experiencing treatment from Dr. M. LEBOWITZ, my pain has significantly decreased. I have not taken any Ibuprofen or pain medication since beginning treatment. I no longer walk with a cane. My energy is increasing. The journey to optimal health is not over but it is definitely much better. My dizziness stopped from Jan 1-6, 2017 but came back temporarily on a much milder level (I will comment on this later- ML). My clarity of mind is the most significant difference. I was able to write this statement out in less than an hour. Prior to treatment I was often unable to express my thoughts and my writing skills deteriorated over the past year. I plan to continue the treatment with Dr. M. LEBOWITZ and follow through, mainly because I have seen major and significant improvement in my overall health. Traditional medicine has not been able to accomplish anything significant for alleviating my symptoms and it has been almost a year since the vehicular accident.
DR. LEBOWITZ COMMENTS
When Teri came in November her treatment consisted of good basic AK plus our protocol. We found significant dysbiosis, sensitivities to nightshades, caffeine, soy, gluten, egg, peanut, and rice. Mercury and pesticides also showed (a la AK Test Kit vials 970-201-7406). Supplementation consisted of the following products by Supreme Nutrition: Tulsi, Melia, Vital Guard, Rosemary, Takesumi, Golden Thread, Camu. When she left Oahu a week later we had her continue avoiding the foods and had her continue the Tulsi and takesumi. Her dysbiosis indicators had cleared and mercury was appearing to be the major culprit. We often find mercury after traumatic injuries- almost like the physical trauma shook it loose and the body is getting re-exposed again.
When she returned a month later for a 2 week stay -mercury was her only biochemical finding and we kept her on Takesumi and Tulsi the whole time (Supreme Nutrition 800-922-1744). Over the 2 week period she also took about 7- 100mg DMSA pills (approximately 1 pill every other day) which she procured elsewhere. We kept her on a strict diet and even juice fasted her for a few days. She had her first dizzy free days in many months. About 4 days into the 14 days she was able to give up her cane and has not needed it since. She continues to do fairly well though occupational stress and vog (mercury laden smog from Kilauea volcano) can both bring back dizziness though to a lesser degree. We hope to see her one more time before returning to the mainland in March.
Comments from a doc who took our 2015 class in person and then bought the 2016 DVD
Hi Dr. L,
Just finished watching the newest DVD, I have to admit this is a big leap forward. You're doing a good job of passing the reigns to your son, he's been very helpful. Looking forward to getting the provocation vial, holding 5 vials at a time has been messy. It amazes me how all the very complex techniques I've learned over the years really don't yield any better results than yours and often not as good. I really appreciate your contribution to our profession.
Sincerely,
Matt Colman DC
Dr L comment- our 2016 DVD’s are very similar to what we will be teaching in LA and NYC this spring.

1. DVD or Vimeo: Treating the Complex Patient 2016: This seminar, approximately 4 1/2 hours long will teach the physician a simple to apply, effective protocol to treat patients with chronic fatigue, allergies, chemical sensitivities, intestinal dysbiosis, (fungal, bacterial, parasitic, spirochete, and viral infections), food sensitivities, food toxin intolerance, hypercoagulation problems, toxic metal issues, endocrine dysfunction, nutritional imbalances, chronic pain and subluxations, fibromyalgia, etc. The seminar is suited for both the novice and the advanced practitioners in our work and is much updated from our last one. A complete set of advanced notes accompanies the DVD. To order go to http://michaellebowitzdc.com/html/seminar.html
2. Personal Seminars with Dr. Lebowitz: Dr. Lebowitz teaches seminars to one or two doctors at a time at his offices in Honolulu, HI and Gig Harbor. This is probably the best way to learn our protocols with a personalized, hands on experience. Cost is $400 per physician. For more info or to schedule call us at 970-623-9565. Noah Lebowitz DC is also available to teach the class.
3. Test Kits for Dr. Lebowitz protocol - Call Cynthia at AK Test Kits 970 201-7406 or see our website http://www.michaellebowitzdc.com for more details. These kits will greatly simplify and speed up your testing making you more efficient and accurate in patient assessment. These are “diagnostic kits”. Supplement kits are ordered directly from Supreme Nutrition 1-800-922-1744.
4. Body Restoration An Owners Manual - An updated and expanded version of my first book Body Mechanics published almost 30 years ago. Part 1 has a chapter on each organ/gland. Each chapter teaches basic anatomy and physiology, causes and symptoms of dysfunction, as well as simple treatments your patient can do at home to complement your treatment. Part 2 explains the role of dysbiosis, food intolerances, toxic metals, nutritional deficiencies and neurotransmitter imbalances in health. The book is a great review for the doctor, but better yet it is a great tool to recommend to your patient. It will give them a better understanding of how their body works and the causes of health and disease, as well as the rationale of why you treat the way you do. It is very pro chiropractic. It is available for $1.99 on kindle at http://www.amazon.com/Body-Restoration-Owners-Manual-ebook/dp/B0050653C4/ref=sr_1_1?s=digital-text&ie=UTF8&qid=1353354004&sr=1-1 or in paperback http://www.amazon.com/body-restoration-Dr-Michael-Lebowitz/dp/146100294X/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1432251114&sr=8-2&keywords=michael+lebowitz+kapadia
5. Body Restoration Cookbook - This companion volume to the above book was written by Cynthia Lebowitz and is now available free online (donations accepted). A wonderful tool for your patients as it contains almost 100 recipes- most without gluten, dairy, nightshades, etc. http://www.bodyrestorationanownersmanual.com/html/Cookbook.html
6. God’s Preventative Medicine- my latest book is now available in paperback. It explains how the Levitical Priests dealt with fungal dysbiosis both preventatively and treatment wise as well as the reasons behind some of the other health laws of the Torah. It is a short easy to understand book and fascinating for the student of health and the Bible http://www.amazon.com/Gods-Preventative-Medicine-Discoveries-Instructions/dp/150892824X/ref=sr_1_2?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1432251151&sr=1-2
