Dear Colleagues, I hope you are well. Dr Wilson and I have been contemplating our next seminar time and place. We will probably be teaching in Denver in the spring as it is convenient to us and it is an easy city to fly into. We haven't decided on dates yet but will let you know as soon as we decide. I also continue to teach doctors one on one here in Grand Junction (see page 4 for details). Many doctors choose to learn our protocols by video. We have a 6-hour video available from April of this year that goes through all our techniques and the academics behind them. Doctors can then address questions they have to us by phone or email. People are always calling asking us which laser or ozonater we are currently using. Last issue I talked about a great portable pulsed laser available from mid American Marketing (1 800-922-1744). This time I will tell you my latest opinion on ozonators.
PRODUCT OF THE MONTH
1. Biozone Ozonator (877-203-2054) - For those of you that aren't familiar with them, ozonators are machines that put out ozone or O3. Ozone kills viruses, bacteria, and fungus. It also helps break down and eliminate smells of chemicals, tobacco, etc. We use ozonators differently then most people because I feel it is best to keep your exposure to ozone to a minimum.
Mold in homes is a definite concern even here in the desert and often leads to internal fungal infections (often sub-clinical) and resultant fatigue, brain fog, moods swings, etc. Asthma, obesity, food allergies, gastrointestinal problems, etc. often have a fungal component. Of course once it is growing in your body it needs to be treated internally
(something we deal with in detail in our seminar video). If mold is in your living or work (even your car) environment it becomes very difficult to clear it out of your body. Personally, I have 2 types of biozone ozonators. They booth utilize UV light (which you are shielded from ) which is affective yet gentle. I own one that covers a maximum of 4000 sq feet (it self regulates so the ozone level never gets too high, even in smaller spaces). I run this continuously in our basement/crawlspace that has humidity problems. I also own their small travel model. I run that in my treatment room if I've had a lot of fungal patients or patients with acute viral and bacterial problems (after they have left), in motel rooms ( I often check in, plug in the unit and leave for 1-2 hours), in bedrooms (if someone has been ill), etc. Occasionally I will leave the small model on when I am in the room but typically I do not.
Using ozonators has helped clear resistant fungal cases (because they kept getting re-infected from their environment). It is not a cure all and in some environments (especially where mold is growing behind the walls) it will only help somewhat but all in all I feel it is a very important machine to own and run. I have been very pleased with the biozone model. I cannot say absolutely that it is better than the coronal discharge type units I previously used - but some of these companies have gone out of business and I like the idea of using UV better. If you do order one and mention my name I will get a small commission, which does not affect your price. I can tell you in truth that I would recommend it commission or not.
2. Dead Sea Salts (800-200-OLIM) - Many of you, based on my recommendations have used dead sea salt baths as part of a heavy metal detoxification program. It works well and is a lot less expensive than the electronic detox devices. OLIM, which is our favorite brand has been unavailable for many months. It how has the 5.7 lbs tubs of unsalted dead sea salt available again.
CASE HISTORIES
1. Bob is a 22-year-old man who works in reception at a motel. He took acutane and tetracycline for 1 year, 3 years previous to coming to see me. It left him with severe sun sensitivity (a stated side effect) that continued even though he had stopped it 2 1/2 years ago. Bob would have to cover his whole body when going outside throughout the year or suffer burns and rashes. He also didn't sleep well or "heal" well. I have never treated a case like his but said I'd be willing to try, so we as usual went through our protocal.
Our exam showed a fungal problem and sensitivity to coffee and oats. We desensitized him and supplemented with E-500, OPC-30 and SF 722 (all Thorne Reseach 1 800-228-1966). Bob returned in 3 weeks. He said he is now sleeping better and he had been out playing lots of golf without having to cover his whole skin and had no problems with rashes or burning. We had him continue on E-500 and added Basic Nutrients. He continues to do well.
This is one of those cases where you never know what taking people through the protocol will correct until you do it. Perhaps our treatment helped his liver and it was able to break down the stored accutane and thus the side effects left. It worked, though we may never know why.

3. Personal Seminars with Dr. Lebowitz: Dr. Lebowitz teaches seminars to one or two doctors at a time in his home/office in Grand Junction, CO. It is approximately 4 miles from the airport serviced by United, Delta and Continental Airlines. Seminars run from 9:00-4:00. These classes are tailored to meet your individual needs and can be as basic or advanced as you would like. Treatment for you and/or your family can be included in the teaching. Lunch is provided and this is a great place to vacation all times of the year with nearby attractions in both Colorado and Utah. Colorado continuing education hours can be provided.
