I hope you all are well and have had a great holiday season. For those of you that have purchased our Sept 2003 video where we talk about testing over GV-20 as perhaps the most accurate spot, we still advise you to test with a magnet (Mid American Marketing 1-800-922-1744) as this acupuncture point does vary slightly in its location on some patients and using the magnet will minimize false negatives. Also, occasionally the vial for helicobacter will only test positive over the stomach or upper small intestine. The metal vial in a very small minority of case shows over the cervical lymph while it is negative over GV-20 (this is mainly in “mercury cases” from dental materials).
Recently the FDA came out with a warning for pregnant women not to eat more than 6 ounces of tuna per week due to its mercury content. To be consistent they should have also warned women about having amalgam fillings put in or drilled out during pregnancy. I remember a 60 Minutes TV show of many years back where the ADA said even though excess mercury used in the dental practice had to be disposed of as a toxic waste and follow rigid procedures so it would not contaminate the environment, it was safe to put it in peoples mouths. Eventually it will be banned, the handwriting is on the wall and future generations won’t have to be subjected to it dentally. It will still be around in the foodchain as well as emissions from power plants, factories, forest fires, volcanoes, etc. At the same time the new chemicals in the environment, great increase in EMF’s of all sorts, genetically modified foods, etc. etc will bring more challenges to our bodies. I think all of us need to live a lifestyle that includes activities that encourage detoxification be it vigorous exercise, Bikram Yoga, saunas, periodic fasting, etc. Some people are blessed with such wonderful genetics that they can get away with not being so careful, but they are becoming the vast minority. We need more good quality supplements and more careful living than our parents did. Strange “iatrogenic” neurological and auto-immune problems are on the rise. Our children often inherit our weak systems and become “sicker” earlier. It can be scary to thing about what children being born 50 years from now will be like. We do though have tools to help people improve their health dramatically. We all should be educating our communities.
CASE HISTORIES
- Jeannie is a 58 year old female who presented with “severe pain” all over her body that has been of many years duration. She was also fatigued, overweight and suffered from brain fog. She was on Vioxx and Evista. Testing with the vials from Test Kit Consultants (1-970-243-0477) she weakened on the composites for fungi and chlamydia. Also testing positive were dairy, oats, egg, and nightshades (tomato, potato, eggplant, pepper, tobacco, paprika). We put her on the appropriate diet, desensitized her and supplemented with SF722, Artecin, Basic Nutrients I, L-Tyrosine, and Omega Plus (all Thorne Research 800-228-1966). She returned for a follow up 21 days later. Jeannie had lost 20 pounds and was no longer fatigued and her thinking was clear. She had lost 20 pounds. She still needed to take basic Nutrients I, L-Tyrosine and Omega Plus. We re-introduced all the foods except we decided to have her stay off nightshades longer due to their connection to chronic pain in some patients. Since she wanted to lose sixty more pounds we introduced MediClear (Thorne) into her diet as a replacement for one meal daily.
- Sally is a 45 year old recently divorced female I have been treating a few times a year for 11 years. She occasionally gets some form of dysbiosis that needs treating as it manifests as depression and mood swings. She came in September suffering from these symptoms and tested for Fungi and Parasites and a sensitivity to rice. With proper treatment it cleared readily. She called recently and had a recurrence
of symptoms. It turns out she had just started a relationship with a new man and after a sexual encounter with him she became symptomatic. She scheduled to come in and bring him along.
Sally weakened on the fungus vial as well as corn, eggs, and tomato. We desensitized her and placed her on Undecyn, Basic B Complex, and Citramins II (Thorne). We tested her new “friend” and he did NOT weaken on the fungus vial. This is not that common when one of the people becomes symptomatic after sex. We decided to test Sally on HIS saliva and she weakened on it and it was negated by Undecyn. This drew us to the conclusion that he was an asymptomatic carrier and at this point did not need treatment EXCEPT to prevent Sally from getting the microbe. We put him on Undecyn too and will see if it does the trick. I found this quite interesting as I always theorized that there would be cases like this but this is the first I came across.
