Recurrent Dysbiosis- new procedure, new product
We all have patients that get recurrent dysbiosis. If they eat a little sugar they get a fungus back or they get parasites frequently. As a result we have always checked the patient’s water, air, sexual partners and on occasion animals to see if they are the cause of recidivism. They often can be and need to be dealt with accordingly (these are crucial to test).
In AK we are only as good as our testing procedures. I have over the years had a number of patients who would come down with rather serious infections after dental cleanings (sometimes routine ones and sometimes deep ones). It appeared in these cases that they harbored the organisms in their mouth/gums and they were stirred up, released and either swallowed or absorbed as a result of the trauma of the cleaning. I began to wonder if some patients were harboring oral microbes under their gums that elude our muscle testing with the vials.
I started having patients rub where the teeth and gums meet (one swipe top and bottom, buccal and lingual surfaces), and then I would test a strong muscle. On a significant number of patients, this would cause weakening of a strong indicator muscle. In some patients, the muscle would remain weak for many minutes. The muscle weakness would be negated by anti-microbial substances (we would and still do give these anti-microbials but realize they might not clear all the sub- gingival organisms). We then started testing essential oils and found a mix of 2 oils that would negate the weakening to this test. We found that when we had the patients use the oils therapeutically (will be described later), this would clear the test (gum test would no longer cause a strong indicator muscle to weaken) in a week or so and we would get much less future recidivism. I feel this is an essential part of patients’ oral hygiene that should be done both therapeutically and preventatively as without this, they are re-exposing themselves each time they brush their teeth. We recommend that all practitioners that treat dysbiosis carry this product (Oral Defense 1-800-922-1744) and use it on appropriate patients.
Technique is as follows:
1. Take a strong indicator muscle. Have the patient rub where the teeth and gums meet on the superior and inferior teeth, buccal and lingual surfaces.
2. If a strong muscle weakens, see if it is negated by Oral Defense (Mid American 1-800-922-1744) as well as oral anti-microbials (Morinda Supreme, Melia Supreme, SF 722, Berbercap, Artecin, etc). Prescribe the capsule that tests (At least one does most of the time but not all the time).
3. Assuming Mouth Defense tests positive, have the patient take ONE drop on their finger both before and after each brushing and rub it on all four surfaces where the teeth and gums meet as mentioned in step 1. Do this procedure with each brushing for 2 weeks. Also, every other day take 2 drops of Oral Defense in a little water and soak your toothbrush in it.
4. After the test in step 1 is no longer positive or 2 weeks have passed, (whichever comes last), follow up twice weekly with Oral Defense as a preventative.
5. Oral Defense (Mid American 1-800-922-1744) is a proprietary mix of cedar and spearmint oils. Both these oils have traditionally been found to have broad spectrum anti-microbial activity. Clinical research with applied kinesiology has suggested they have a strong synergistic effect and can improve the health of oral flora.
Report on Lu Rong and Meriva
Now that the baseball season is over, I can report on Lu Rong Supreme (1-800-922-1744). For the 5 players who took it regularly, 3 significantly increased their batting and slugging percentages (with 2 of the 3 giving the LuRong the credit). The other 2 were league leaders when they started and they maintained their already excellent performances.
