Dear Colleagues:
I hope you are well and enjoying the spring. We are continuing our one on one seminar here at our office but won’t be teaching any larger ones in major cities until the fall. The ones in my office allow you to tailor it to meet your own needs and get treated too, so if you don’t mind coming to beautiful western Colorado- it is a great opportunity to learn.
NEW PRODUCTS
Some of the kits by Test Kit Consultants (1-970-243-0477) have been added to:
1) There are now 8 new items in the bacteria kit (which brings it up to 53 vials). They are Bacillus Cereus, Enterobacter Aerogenes, Klebsiella Pneumoniae, Micrococcus Luteus, Proteus Vulgaris. Salmonella Enteritidis, Streptococcus Mitis. Some of these, especially Klebsiella can be very useful to test for.
For those of you with the older version of the kit, you can purchase the new ones
with a new updated composite vial. For those without a kit, only the new
updated version will be available. Prices will be between $2-$3 per vial
depending on the exchange rate at the time you order.
2) There is one addition to the fungus kit: Pneumocystis Carnii with a new composite vial.
3) There are 9 additions to the Dental Kit: Belle Glass, Cercon, Cercon S, Cerpress, Duceram, Herculite, Maxi Bond Metal, Presciano, Solo Bond, as well as updated mixed vials.
4) Food Phenolic Compounds Test Kit- this is a brand new kit consisting of 14 vials. Phenolic food compounds occur naturally in all foods and give the food color, flavor and prevent decomposition. Some doctors feel these are the major cause of food intolerance. These compounds can have pharmacological effects. They can alter release of prostaglandins, leukotrienes, kinins, inactive certain vitamins and cause about every symptom imaginable (if sensitive or intolerant to them). Phenolics occur in many seemingly unrelated foods. These may or may not show up when testing the food itself (due to neutralizing factors), thus testing phenolics separately is quite valuable as is desensitizing the positive ones.

Besides desensitizing for the positive phenolic compounds, it is also beneficial to see what nutrients negate a positive test. It is too early for me to see if I find a pattern on which nutrients negate which phenolics but if we share our findings with each other, maybe we can come up with a list and publish it is a later newsletter.
There will also soon be updates to the parasite kit including blastocystis hominus. We will let you know when these are available.
Short Case History
Michael is an 8-year-old boy who presented with nausea whenever he was in a lying position and a feeling of wanting to throw up. He also had moderate neck pain that he forgot to mention. These symptoms had been going on for a few years. He had none of the findings you would expect (hiatal hernia, fungus, subluxations, etc.). All we found were sensitivities to baker’s yeast and titanium dioxide and a need for basic B Complex and Trace Mins (Thorne 1-800-228-1966). We desensitized and supplelemented and had him avoid the 2 substances for 21 days. We sent him home alittle discouraged with our lack of findings. It was 4 months before we heard from Michael’s mom. Everything had cleared up in the first week including the neck pain he never mentioned. This goes to show Like Dr. Goodheart once said, “Anything can cause anything”.
