I hope you are doing well. We are contemplating doing a small seminar here in Grand Junction in September. It is not definite yet but our videographer is moving to Kentucky in October and it would be nice to have an updated class before then. Now that we have added Morinda Supreme (1-800-922-1744) to our protocol- things have changed somewhat and it would be nice to reflect that in the new class. Our good friend and colleague in town Dr. Natalie Liesman has had 2 cases recently where patients have expelled parasites while on Morinda- one a rather large tapeworm that had been inside the patient close to 3 years and the other –literally hundreds of small visible parasites first coming out alive but then dead over the course of a few weeks. I hope to present the full case histories in a future newsletter and on the website www.morindasupreme.com.

NEW BOOK
My friend and colleague Dr. Robert Blaich has just published a book entitled Your Inner Pharmacy taking back our wellness. I thoroughly enjoyed reading Bobs’ new book. The book has many valuable ideas in terms of healthy lifestyle in general and of course is a pro-AK book. I also thank Bob as the book motivated me to crank up my exercise regimen a notch- which was sorely needed. It is a good book to recommend to patients whether you do AK or not and can be gotten from amazon.com or encourage your local bookstore to carry it.

For many years I have been using Arabinex by Thorne Research (1-800-228-1966) as a great anti-viral. Over the past year or so I have also been using it as a supplement to help
sluggish or swollen lymphatics. I have found that a scoop t.i.d. works very effectively. Swollen lymphatics can be secondary to infection, toxic buildup, mechanical blockage etc. I have seen Arabinex be very effective in all types though of course the underlying cause must also be addressed.
CASE HISTORIES
1. Connie is a 45 year old who presented with asthma that had been progressing over the past year (she was on no medication for it), migraines, and the complaint that she was getting “more allergic to everything”. Her medications were birth control pills for hormone regulation and Fiorecet for migraines on a PRN basis. On testing she weakened on the following vials (AK Test Kits 1-888-323-0625): Mixed Internal Parasites, Mixed External Parasites (both negated by Morinda Supreme 1-800-922-1744) as well as weakening on copper, onions, eggs, dairy, corn, garbanzo beans. Besides Morinda Supreme, we supplemented with the following products from Thorne Research (1-800-228-1966): Thiocid-300 (negated the copper), Basic Nutrients V, and Pyridoxal-5-Phosphate. Within a few days Connie became asthma free for the first time since it began and has had no migraines. It is now a month later and she continues on her supplements
2. Daniel is a 45 year old trail lawyer that had been suffering from exhaustion for a few months. It started after a “hot yoga” class that he “never recovered from”. He is on a great diet and gets plenty of sleep and adequate exercise. On testing he weakened on the following vials: Mixed Internal Parasites, Mixed Protozoa, Rickettsia, oats. His adrenal NL’s TL’ed weak. We supplemented with Morinda Supreme, Basic Nutrients V, and L-Tyrosine. It took about a week for Daniels’ energy to start picking up. Now he has only very occasional days where he loses energy in the late afternoon or early evening. He is continuing on the L-Tyrosine and his adrenals will continue to be monitored. Often patients with stressful jobs like Daniel’s (fighting for patients’ rights versus their insurance companies) need to stay on L-Tyrosine on a maintenance basis for an indefinite time period.

TENDONS, LIGAMENTS REGENERATED WITH ADULT STEM CELLS
Adult stem cells are being used by an Israeli research team to create a new orthopedic solution to a difficult and common problem: how to heal torn ligaments and tendons.
The research team, led by Professor Dan Gazit, is working to change this by using stem cells taken from bone marrow and genetically engineering them to become different cells altogether.
“ With this in mind, we can genetically engineer new skeletal tissue–ligaments,
cartilage, tendons,” explained Dr. Gadi Peled, a senior scientist at the lab.
The stem cells were injected with two proteins, called Smad8 and BMP2, and were then injected into the torn Achilles tendons of rats at the Skeletal Biotechnology Laboratory at Hebrew University’s Faculty of Dental Medicine. The cells were drawn to the site of the injury and were able to repair the tendon, said Peled.
“There was complete healing in seven weeks, which is very quick,” he told Israel21c.
A special type of imaging test, developed by Professor Gil Navon at Tel Aviv University, was used in the study to identify the tendon tissue repairs. The test, known as proton DQF MRI, differentiates between tendons, bones, skin and muscle, all of which contain different amounts of collagen.
Peled said that in time, the new technology might be used to help people who
suffer with lower back pain as well. Invertebrate discs consist largely of tendon tissue that deteriorates over time. “Our next step will be to conduct the tests on large animals. For tendons and ligaments, goats are the best subjects,” he said. Pigs will be used for invertebrate disc research.
Clinical trials on bone regeneration are currently being conducted on humans by Hadassah Medical Center together with Teva Pharmaceuticals, using the same adult stem cells. “The nice thing about this is that depending on the protein you introduce, it creates different tissue,” said Peled.
The new approach for tendon regeneration was reported in the April issue of the Journal of Clinical Investigation.
