NEW PRODUCTS
Fungus 2 Kit (AK Test Kits 1-888-323-0625) –AK Test Kits has produced a new fungus kit containing 31 vials. The price is approximately $44 plus shipping. None of these fungi appear in the original fungus kit. They include quite a number of fungi that cause health problems in patients and the kit has enhanced my ability to find fungal problems in patients greatly. CRITERIA FOR GIVING SUPPLEMENTS
It seems the population has been getting sicker and more toxic over the years and as a result we have to rely on stronger and stronger supplementation to get the job done. I personally find that lower potency products that used to get the job done on my patients back in the 1980’s no longer are strong enough to do the job. This is especially true with dysbiosis and toxic metals. As a result stronger products have to be used. We must treat these products with respect. Underdosing them can yield little or no results while overdosing them might lead to side effects from too quick of a die-off or too many toxins being eliminated in a person with an already stressed detoxification system.
Morinda Supreme (1-800-922-1744, www.morindasupreme.com) and Captomer-250 (Thorne Research 1-800-228-1966) are 2 of my favorite products that have helped very ill people in profound ways but they must be used carefully. As an AK practitioner I use these criteria before prescribing: 1) If we are using the supplement to treat a specific metal or microbe- it must block that particular vial (AK Test Kits 1-888-323-0625) on muscle testing, 2) It must strengthen a weak G-2 muscle, 3) It must continue to strengthen the G-2 muscle after temporal tapping the patient bilaterally 4) On sensitive patients I also perform the “distance test” I teach in our seminars- and it must strengthen up to at least 6 inches away.
I also retest the supplement on each visit and if any symptoms develop in between visits and the patient is local I have them come in to re-evaluate. If they live too far away I have them drop all supplements and see if their symptoms subside. If they do subside, I have them put one supplement back in at a time until they identify the product causing the symptoms and then they stay off that product until I see them again. Sometimes these (Captomer and Morinda) and other products work very quickly and the patients do not need to take them more than a week or so. In other cases patients may be on them on a maintenance level for a very long time.
Sometimes Captomer lowers zinc levels and causes symptoms associated with that deficiency. Sometimes Morinda kills microbes very fast and while many people do well staying on it on a maintenance dose (I have taken it since December though I take a week off periodically), others do better staying off of it when dysbiosis free. I personally get migraines when I take a supplement I do not need even if it is something simple like magnesium- so I monitor my supplements often and carefully. Often times if we need to go off a supplement, we only need to for a short period. I treat many patients who come in with many supplements given to them by other practitioners (or self prescribed) who improve dramatically when taken off them.
It usually takes me a few visits to get a feel for how careful we have to be with a particular patient in terms of supplementing. I also find that working with a good acupuncturist on liver and kidney issues can minimize side effects. I truly believe we have the ability to help patients that no one else can and make changes at times that can appear miraculous but
again we must use wisdom while prescribing. I personally do not understand how practitioners can prescribe without the feedback of muscle testing, electro-dermal screening or some other feedback system from the patients’ body. Perhaps that it why there are so many side effects even lethal ones from wrongly prescribing especially of prescription medicine. I encourage you all who prescribe based on symptoms only, to develop expertise in muscle testing or an equivalent system. You will find a much higher % of success. Treating lab results is often not enough. If the patient is anemic on a blood test- the answer is not always to give them iron (that is rarely it). We have to understand why and these systems of evaluation help us to evaluate the “why” of things. Treating less than optimal organ and endocrine function is a lot more complicated than giving out bottles of glandulars. I wish it was so easy. There are so many sick folks out there that have given up. We can help many of them if they are willing to be helped. I applaud you all. This newsletter goes out to many of the best physicians in the world and to some of the brightest people I know. Many of us involved on the research end are always looking for new products and new techniques. Many of our searches lead to dead ends but enough yield info that can help folks that it makes it well worth it.

Hello Michael!
Just want to tell you about a case that we mentioned for you, a man with prostate cancer.
He came to see us May 19 to see if we could help him facilitate his upcoming surgery of the prostate. He was quite skeptical about AK, but decided to see us thanks to his both daughters who convinced him to try ("What can you possibly lose..."). They both have had excellent results since last winter/spring.
He presented with standard prostate symptoms and his PSA was elevated and steadily increasing.
March 2000: PSA 2.9
Autumn 2005: PSA 5.3
February 2006: PSA 7.8 ratio 17%
April 2006: PSA 9.3 ratio 13%
Normal PSA below 4.0, normal ratio above 18%.
We found Fungus, Helicobacter, Rickettsia, pesticides and pollens.
Morinda Supreme (Mid American 1-800-922-1744), blocked both Fungus and Rickettsia. Coptis blocked Helicobacter and Thiocid (Thorne 1-800-228-1966) blocked pesticides.
He also tested well with Zinc Carbonate, Omega Plus, Lycopene and Fractionated Pectin (all above by Thorne Research 1-800-228-1966). We supplemented with all above except Lycopene and Fractionated Pectin which we where temporarily out of.
Today, June 14th, 2006, three weeks later he mailed me his new test result. PSA is now down to 5.1 with ratio 21%.

An 82-year-old lady who has been struggling with bowel regularity for several years, and has a tumor on her upper thigh, started the Morinda Supreme (1-800-922-1744) April 19 at 1 scoop two times per day. We had treated forms of dysbiosis using Dr. Lebowitz’s protocol off and on previous to this trial, including parasites. These treatment episodes met with varying success due to her difficulty swallowing and her sensitive stomach. Four days after starting the Morinda, she called to tell me of some “recent developments.” She reported seeing about 20 small whale or fish like creatures in the toilet with her bowel movement. They varied from ¼ inch to ¾ inch in length with a rounded head tapering to a split tail with which they were swimming. They were transparent, and a central spinal cord or blood vessel
could be seen inside their bodies. As she watched, a golf ball size piece of feces seemed to “dive” to the bottom of the toilet and then “exploded,” releasing another 25-50 more of the smaller of these creatures which also swam around. With a later bowel movement that day, she saw one of the creatures that was almost an inch long, also swimming. She also saw several of these creatures in her tissue after blowing her nose that same day. These she put on a card to bring in with her later.
She has continued to observe these creatures in her bowel movements into June, but did not see any more of the “exploding” feces. She reported that the creatures seem to simply be floating, as if dead, or only weakly swimming. They vary in number. She has not seen any more that seemed to come from her nose. The tumor has not decreased in size and her constipation issues are not completely resolved, and we had to discontinue the Morinda for a while due to stomach pain and nausea. It will be interesting to see if she continues to expel these parasites while off the Morinda, and if they remain “dead.”
Dr. Lebowitz comments: This is an interesting case as to Morinda’s ability to expel parasites, yet as we can see there are other issues that will need addressing too before her symptomotology is resolved. This woman also falls into the small percentage (<5%) of patients who after awhile develop GI upset from the Morinda who must stop taking it at least temporarily- this typically happens in these folks after it has done the job and cleared dysbiosis
Case History 3 – submitted by Natalie Liesman DC
A 30-year-old female has had multiple health issues for 10 years, with a major complaint of irritable bowel like symptoms and food allergies, which worsened after a mission trip to the Philippines 2 years ago. She currently lives in Alabama and I have treated her once or twice a year for the last 2-½ years using Dr. Lebowitz’s protocols. I had her start the Morinda Supreme prior to this year’s visit since she was very prone to multiple forms of dysbiosis. She reported passing something cream colored in her bowels that was about 6 inches long and thicker than mucus. She and a fellow PA student concluded it fit the description of a tapeworm. She felt significantly better in energy and had fewer food reactions for several days after passing this creature, but then returned the typical less energy she had been experiencing. When I checked her, I found no forms of dysbiosis. She continues to take the high dose of Morinda, 1 scoop three times per day.
Dr Lebowitz’s comments: As above, this is an interesting case as to the Morinda ability to dispel parasites, yet as we can see there are other issues that will need addressing too before her symptomotology is resolved.
There are 2 other cases histories submitted by Dr Liesman that had very positive outcomes (much more so than these) that are listed on the www.morindasupreme.com website. We included these in the newsletter just to show Morinda’s ability to dispel parasites. Another patient I just had dispelled a jellyfish shaped organism recently.

USDA Report: Scary News about Chicken The level of arsenic found in young chickens, which are called "broilers," may be three to four times higher than the amount of arsenic in other types of poultry and meat, HealthDayNews reports of a new study from researchers at the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service. How is arsenic getting into chickens? Arsenic is a government-approved feed supplement that farmers use as a way to fight intestinal parasites in the birds, especially young ones. This USDA study is the first of its kind to measure the levels of arsenic in chickens, as well as how much of it is ingested by people who eat those chickens.
It's important to note that the USDA says that even with the higher levels of arsenic found in broilers, the amount of arsenic we ingest from our favorite chicken dishes is still well below
what is considered a tolerable daily intake. But the researchers are equally quick to point out that the amount of arsenic we are ingesting from chicken is much higher than previously thought, which may prompt government agencies to reassess the acceptable level of total arsenic exposure. Arsenic, while poisonous in large amounts in its inorganic form, is a naturally occurring organic element that is found in food, drinking water, and the environment. Arsenic in its less toxic organic form is used as a chicken feed supplement. Our total exposure to arsenic is an important measurement. A little is okay. A lot is not. "If we're taking in more [arsenic] in chicken, then there's, in a way, less room to take in arsenic through the water," lead study author and epidemiologist Tamar Lasky explained to HealthDayNews.
