1. Feedback on Neurochondria (Thorne Research (1-800-228-1966)
Hi Michael: I too am thrilled with neurochondria. I muscle test it on most people, especially the older ones and by and large everyone wants it. Believe it or not, I also think that it is cost effective because I can take them off of thiocid-300 and CoQ100 and use the neurochondria only. I have had very positive reports from a couple of patients who think that their memory has improved - this is even if they have been on Carnityl, Memoractiv, GB-24 etc.
I like it, too although have not experienced anything dramatic. I usually start them off with two in the morning, but I muscle test the amounts at first. Bea
2. EndoSupreme (Mid American Marketing 1-800-922-1744). I have never been that happy or impressed with most of the endocrine products on the market. Quality issues, processing and refinement of the materials etc. has left much to be desired in the area of supplements for the adrenals etc. Mid Amercan has come out with what I consider to be an amazing endocrine adaptogen. On muscle testing it appears to help most adrenal findings, as well as thyroid and pituitary as well as many reproductive, immune and other organ findings. From both scientific research as well as traditional uses it has been shown to have the following properties: it is known to increase libido, is used as a muscle relaxant, anti-inflammatory, general tonic, analgesic, used for menstrual disorders, impotence, hypoadrenia, immune support, anti-arthritic, antioxidant, used to treat diarrhea, hemorrhoids, bronchitis, etc. It has activity against aldose reductase (thus helping prevent nerve damage in diabetics) and helps inhibit production of protein kinase C , thus making it useful in the treatment of arthritis, certain tumors, asthma, and certain cardiovascular irregularities. As an anti-arthritic, immune and adrenal support it has been used for centuries in Central and South America. EndoSupreme contains the pure powdered bark of Maytenus Krukovii, also known as chuchuhuasi.
We have found 3 caps daily to be an optimal dose in most cases, with the first dose taken before breakfast. In some patients, results have been within days though the literature suggests it can take a month before effects are felt. Many people report that their stamina increases more and more, the longer they take it. There are no known contraindications or side effects though as with all herbs, I would exercise caution during pregnancy and have patients report any adverse reactions to you immediately.
