Michael: I need to tell you about me, as a case.
Since you last saw me (March 2010), I have been gluten-free and caffeine-free and followed the anti-fungal diet (for the prescribed time). I have been gluten free since, except for twice when there was a little soy sauce in a meat marinade. I have had maybe one or two shots of half-caffeinated espresso for the past month. I have had NO neck and shoulder pain (typically I would have it nearly daily if not daily sometimes to the point where I could not move my neck). My knee that was shattered in a car accident in 1987 had been swelling nearly every day after working a full day and it has not been swollen since. I had some skin tags and they are all gone. My skin is much clearer.

My comment: The only sad part of this is that I have treated Dr Spina (he treats me too) for a number of years and until our new research on food toxins, missed his intolerance to both gluten and methylxanthines despite having tested the actual food substances many times on him. This is one of many cases that have shown to me the necessity of testing the food toxins (in his case gliadin and paraxanthine) in addition to the foods themselves. 2. My patient has recurring teeth problems and just general above the clavicle problems with recurrent infection, like acne and sinusitis, boils, gum issues, tooth aches, etc. I have tried everything over the years to eliminate the recurring infections but she always seems to have some level of infection. When Oral Defense came out (Supreme Nutrition Products (1-800-922-1744), she tested positive for it and was the first patient I gave it to. She reported on her follow-up visit (one month later) after she took the Oral Defense home that she had a pretty big detox for about a week after she first used it: Fatigue, breakouts on her neck and fleeting achiness in her teeth. 5.Dr. Lebowitz, thanks for the new Golden Thread (Supreme Nutrition). I ordered 6 bottles and 3 are gone in 30 minutes! My office manager tested to need it. By the way, the first patient had a sore throat and had a reaction to parasites, negated by Golden Thread. I just happily sent him home confident that this latest and greatest from Dr.Lebowitz would have his sore throat better in no time. The next patient was a return patient getting over a vaginal yeast infection and itchy thighs. She had good progress on Melia Supreme but now Melia no longer tested positive (Dr L’s comment: usually Melia will be enough to complete the job, this is a rare occurrence). I tested Golden Thread and it totally negated the yeast sample. I have not had the patients come back yet but I already am having good results with testing and I am confident of good results from the herb.
I am also having good results from testing myself for the Alpha-Solanine sample. Nightshades individually don't seem to test positive, but the pure Solanine sample does. Thank you for helping me identify this toxin to my system. It seems to have been such a relief to my body as a whole that my knees are hardly aching at all and my sensitivities to other foods in general like wheat and milk seems to have decreased. I think this was a large toxic load but I had no idea it was there. Thanks a lot! I am feeling much better. Keep up the good research and product development.
