There is an interesting editorial by Alan Gaby MD in the Feb/Mar 2012 Townsend newsletter entitled Vitamin D: More is not better and may be even worse. It speaks about how increasing the lab reference range for vitamin D may not have been a good idea and how high doses of vitamin D may possibly be atherogenic and also increase the risk of kidney stones. He recommends a maximum dose of 800 to 1200 IU daily.
In my practice I find it very rare that vitamin D strengthens a weak muscle in the clear (is it because I live in the high desert?) and as a result I sell maybe one bottle a month at most. In fact over the past 3 years my sale of pharmaceutical style vitamins dropped from about 90% of the supplements I sell to about 25%. I find when using whole dried herbs and foods (not standardized extracts) and correcting dysbiosis, food and metal issues, etc. and putting people on a healthy diet that I rarely supplement with multi's or B-complex, C, E, etc anymore. My mineral supplementation has dropped dramatically too (even rarely needing to supplement zinc). I still use a fair amount of magnesium and L-Tyrosine but for the most part (75%), I just utilize Supreme Nutrition Products. I am thrilled that this has occurred as I am more of a naturalist and prefer to use high density plant material when I can to supply the bodies nutrient needs. That was my goal 30 years ago and I never thought I would be able to approach it.

Part 2 explains the role of dysbiosis, food intolerances, toxic metals, nutritional deficiencies and neurotransmitter imbalances in health.
The book is a great review for the doctor, but better yet it is a great tool to sell to your patient. It will give them a better understanding of how their body works and the causes of health and disease, as well as the rationale of why you treat the way you do. It is very pro chiropractic. Volume discounts are available should you want to sell them to your patient and a kindle edition should hopefully be available in the future. Some time later in the year my wife hopes to publish a cookbook to complement this book.

Here's another case history, hot off the presses.
A mother came in with a colicky baby. She had not gotten a good night's sleep since he was born 3 months ago. He cried constantly throughout the day, and slept only 2-3 hours each night. She said he had been very active in the womb, much more than any of her previous children. He had a history of being very gassy, and recently got over a bout of thrush. She had a history of vasospasms in her breast, and was using Nystatin and vasoline locally on the breast to prevent soreness and pain.
Both mother and child (using surrogate testing) showed fungus, gluten and dairy sensitivities (vials by AK Test Kits). The child reacted to the mother's nursing.
She would not take any supplements that did not have kosher certification, so we tested her for and found Kyolic Garlic, and a probiotic. We took her off all gluten containing foods. She had been off dairy for several months, so we had no recommendation there. We desensitized child to mother's nursing.
She called a few minutes ago. Within 3 days, the baby has stopped crying, and is sleeping well at night.
It's a great feeling to be able to help people with your procedures.
Recent email on Reishi Supreme
I have recently discovered your Reishi and found it to have a nothing short of
