Since my accident in 2009, I have been dealing with high blood pressure and last week I had three independent blood pressure measurements: one at your office, one at my primary care doc and one at another office. CASE HISTORY Alan Berger DC- Denver
Brennen was brought in at age 8 months because of frequent spitting-up that began when he was 1 month old. His parents said he was "always hungry, very sensitive, moody, fussy, unsettled, easily frustrated, and a poor sleeper," in other words, colicky. The pediatrician had prescribed Prevacid, which he was being given daily, but which had not helped. He was still mostly breastfeeding. Mom had a history of migraines and other chronic problems.
Surrogate testing showed sensitivity to dairy, gliadin, corn, methylxanthines, and certain nuts, as well as H. Pylori (AK test Kits 1-808-321-0826).
The foods were removed from his and Mom's diets, and he was given small amounts of a paste made from probiotic powder and a homeopathic (NET Visceral Polarity).
His symptoms resolved within 1 or 2 days and are still resolved 1 year later.
TWO ARTICLES FROM THE NEWS
1) Recent research conducted at U of Hawaii has found that coal burning power plants in India and China have been responsible for increased amounts of mercury in Pacific Ocean fish. The amount of mercury in Atlantic Ocean fish has declined due to stricter environmental controls in the US and Europe. They also found that fish who feed in deeper ocean waters (below 100 meters) have higher mercury levels. They feel that "chemical reactions driven by sunlight destroy up to 80% of the monomethylmercury near the water’s surface but not at deeper levels. Unless China and India adopt stricter environmental controls they just expect things to continue to get worse.
2) The FDA has found that approximately 7% of spice lots imported into the US are contaminated with salmonella- this includes 15% of the coriander, 12% of the oregano, and 12% of the basil. 14% of the Mexican and 9% of the Indian lots were contaminated. The bacteria are typically killed by cooking but many spices such as black pepper (4% of lots were contaminated) are used in an uncooked form and can be problematic. Sesame seeds, curry powder and cumin also had high contamination rates
CASE HISTORY from Elva Edwards DC- Denver
A 50+ year-old female patient called me at home because a bee bit her on the eyebrow. She is allergic to bees and has previously gone to the ER for a bite. She called to see what I thought she should do. I suggested she go to the health food store and get homeopathic apis, as I have had terrific results with it for bites. She did that and also bought Benadryl because in the previous ER visit, the doctor said the Benadryl saved her life.
The next morning, she called for an appointment. When she came in, she reported that it wasn’t too bad when she went to bed. However, she woke up unable to open her eye.
This patient was caught in the unemployment crisis for some time and money was an issue. Instead of testing the usual way with the AK Test Kits vials, I just therapy localized the eye to see what Supreme Nutrition Products (1-800-922-1744) would strengthen the weak muscle so I could keep the cost minimal.
She tested for the apis homeopathic, Takesumi supreme and Camu supreme. She tested negative to the Benadryl but said she felt she needed to take it to keep her throat open. I told her the takesumi is very good for allergy reactions and she could just wait a bit and if she felt the swelling increasing at all, she could still take the Benadryl. She took her first dose of takesumi and camu in my office. I adjusted her and noticed that her eye opened just a bit before she left. I asked her to keep me posted. I sent her home with the products and less than 5 hours later she sent me a photo of herself showing me how much better the eye was. It was half way open. By nighttime, it was even a little better.
