I hope you are all well. This has been a crazy month. Trying to rehab my shattered patella, getting ready to move into a new house, starting a practice in Scottsdale AZ, preparing for at least 3 upcoming trips in the next 6 weeks or so etc.
I hope I will get to see many of you at the ICAK meeting in June. It is the best line up of speakers in many years if not ever (though of course we sadly do not have Dr Goodheart- our founding father). I will be presenting a short course on an AK approach to lyme disease at the meeting. I am still teaching personalized classes here in AZ (see the last page of the newsletter) and in the fall hope to have group classes in possibly NYC, SF area and Chicago (my son is pushing me to travel and teach more). I am also investigating some new products as well.

There are a number of articles from studies that suggest that giving warfarin will eliminate chronic schizophrenia and also long-term depressive illness.

The studies (you can google as there are more) show that patients with various forms of psychosis are more prone to deep vein thrombosis and hypercoagulation and that warfarin in some cases can help resolve the psychotic symptoms. They attribute this to the up regulation of tissue plasminogen activator (TPA) from taking warfarin. They also feel that this helps neural plasticity.
So how can we utilize this fact?
In our coagulation kit (AK Test Kits 970-201-7406) we do have a tissue plasminogen activator vial. We can test it on these type patients for strengthening of an inhibited muscle. If this occurs, we can also test products that will act on TPA like Hemoguard Supreme (Supreme Nutrition 1-800-922-1744) and supplement if indicated. Other products like turmeric and/or garlic may also be helpful. Blood coagulation problems are rampant and I have seen that treating these will resolves a variety of seemingly unrelated symptoms: depression, headaches, resistant dysbiosis, circulatory issues, memory, etc.

Clinical Tidbit
To me it is fascinating how pretesting with vials changes which supplements show up on testing. For instance if you take a weak indicator muscle and see if a person strengthens on 5MTHF they may not strengthen, even if they have a methylation problem. But, if you prescreen the person on the homocysteine vial first and even if the vial doesn’t weaken a strong indicator, you then follow up and test the 5MTHF on the weak indicator it will now often strengthen. I see the same happen often with Takesumi. It make not strengthen a weak indicator until you have screened the person for chemicals, metals, etc. first, then after screening them, it will now strengthen that same indicator. It is almost like you have to remind the body it has an issue first.

CASE HISTORY Dr Kim GJ Colorado
Last April 2013, I saw a patient who is a 47yr old female suffering from chronic bilateral shoulder and neck pain. Left arm abduction and flexion ROM was approximately 110-120 degrees and raising her arm caused severe pain. She also mentioned that she has severe gastritis. When I first met her, she was so bloated that she appeared nine months pregnant and her face and hand also were swollen. With AK testing, she showed positive therapy localization to thymus, spleen, liver, and stomach reflexes and the following vials (AK Test Kits) Fungus 1, Lactose, Gliadin. The left quadratus lumborum, left gluteus maximus and medius was were also inhibited. Bilateral Rhomboid Major muscles were hypertonic. I did some origin and insertion muscle work but, I thought her arm problem was caused primarily from fungus and food issues. I prescribed Morinda Supreme and told her to avoid the foods that I mentioned. She came back two weeks later. Her symptoms dramatically subsided and Morinda Supreme still tested positive, so I had her continue on it. Two weeks later all her stomach symptoms diminished and the range of motion in her shoulder increased dramatically She also lost 15lb, which she was very pleased about.
Dec 2013 she came back again with a severe stomachache. She brought lots of medication that her MD prescribed (DrL: Don’t you love when they get a recurrence many months later and instead of coming back to you they have to exhaust allopathic options first). I found the following vials were positive: fungus2, fungus3, H. Pylori, casein, zein, albumin, biofilm (AK Test Kits). I gave her Morinda Supreme, a B complex, and Balanced Omega (Nordic Naturals) this time. I told her to bring her husband 2 weeks later because I suspected they may “share the bugs” and maybe he can be the reason for the recurrent infection. Two weeks later, her problems all diminished. I was right. Her husband tested positive on the following vials: fungus, protozoa, and H.pylori. He also was suffering severe shoulder pain and arthritis. Both husband and wife were positive for Morinda Supreme so I gave it to them. Two weeks later, both of them were symptom free.
She is still gradually losing weight. She said since she met me she has lost 50lb. She looked ten years younger and has no bloating and no love handles anymore (I was shocked because I remember her first visit) without any exercise. Her husband lost 13lb too.
Last week her 21 yrs old son came to me with a shoulder problem also. He actually watched me when I treated his parents. He acted as translator because his parents just spoke spanish. I found the following vials: fungus, rickettsia, chlamydia, caffeine and gluten. He said he is very athletic (5days a week weight training). He appeared very muscular. I actually arm wrestled with him to demonstrate how the bugs and food allergens can hurt him. At first I couldn't win because his muscle mass is almost triple of mine. When he held the gluten or caffeine vial over his stomach area with his other hand, his muscle weakened and I could beat him. I think it was a good demonstration for patient education.
