Dear Colleagues;

We just returned from our SF seminar. It was a sellout and we had to turn some people away to keep the workshop size manageable. I thank everyone involved with making it successful and our biggest seminar so far. We have no group seminars planned at this point. If there is somewhere you would like a group seminar let us know and we will consider it. We are considering TX or Denver at this point but nothing is definite.

Our 2014 DVD is available and has our whole protocol and comes with a set of notes. Many AK docs prefer to learn this way. You can order at http://www.michaellebowitzdc.com/html/seminar.html. We still also give one on one seminars in Scottsdale and Honolulu but raised the price to $400 which is still incredibly reasonable considering the personalized attention, etc.

The ICAK USA conference is scheduled for the end of July in Chicago. I am the program chair again. We are having an evening session where docs who aren’t invited speakers and haven’t written a paper for the meeting, can present a 10-15 minutes talk on something clinically relevant that they have developed, etc. If interested, please contact me as space is limited. You can go to icakusa.com to find out more about the conference.

I just wanted to thank you for your amazing product line. Without Supreme Nutrition (1-800-922-1744), I feel that I would be at a loss with many difficult patients. I would be constantly managing compensations rather than treating root causes. There have been times where I have identified a methylation or an inflammatory issue and I thought I was treating the cause but really it was still a compensation for an immune dysfunction. For example, recently I began treating a patient with a history of grand mal seizures, with increased frequency in the past couple of months (her seizures seemed to be stress induced). Initially, I identified a right brain issue with methylation dysfunction and ammonia toxicity. She has continuously gotten better from the first visit but I could always create muscle testing findings by exposing her to norepinephrine. On her 3rd visit she showed an issue with mercury, which was fixed with zinc, but it returned on the 4th visit. By digging further she showed an issue with biofilms and virus, Melia Supreme and BFB-1 blocked both of those responses. Since taking the Melia Supreme and BFB-1 she no longer shows a negative response to norepinephrine or Mercury and she has not suffered any grand mals. It is too early to tell if this will fix her issues but it is at least promising. If not for the Supreme Products I feel that I would have been constantly providing different doses of methylation nutrients and if the patient's stress level got too high it would not be enough to prevent the grand mal.

Lenny, a 50 year old male, flew in from Central America. He typically comes once or twice a year for maintenance. This time he was symptomatic. He would get out of breath while going up a flight of stairs, had fatigue, brain fog, and both depression and episodes of unprovoked aggression. Our findings showed reactions to the following vials: Parasites 1 and 2, Protozoa, Rickettsia, Virus 1 and 3, Fungus 2 and 3, Mycoplasma, H. Pylorii, nightshades, dairy, corn (zein), peanuts, chicken, and caffeine. We also ran a few labs. Significant findings were triglycerides 405 (a 54% decrease and absolute decrease of 217), hsCRP 1.35 (ref <0.30), glucose 122. He has a strong family history of heart disease. Besides our structural treatment for knee and shoulder problems we prescribed the following Supreme Nutrition Products (1-800-922-1744): Melia, Schisandra, Oral Defense, Tulsi, and Takesumi along with Thorne’s Magnesium Citrate and P5P.

He had to be back in the US 9 days later so we decided to redo labs at that time despite the short time period between them. Triglycerides were 185 (a 54% decrease and absolute decrease of 217), hsCRP was 0.12 (a 91% decrease!) and glucose was 108. It was interesting that such a change could happen in nine days. Lenny in general ate a clean diet though recently he started ingesting 2 cans of caffeinated soft drinks daily. We did not specifically address his CRP or triglycerides- just treated microbes and took him off foods he tested suspect on. He now tested negative on all the vials but needed to stay on all the supplements except Schisandra and P5P.He just informed me he has lost 13 pounds in 2 ½ weeks. Imagine if you could invent a pharmaceutical that worked even 25% as well. You’d be a gazillionaire. I am going to do some labs on new patients with dysbiosis and see what changes we get in various lab parameters.

Note: If treatment is proceeding well with no additional intervention needed it is common to see the “diagnostic “vials test negative (microbes, metals, etc) while the supplements needed will still test positive.

New Product

We are launching a product this month developed by myself and my son Noah at the request of some former MLB players. It won’t be under the Supreme Line as it is not an herbal but more of a product to increase energy, enhance moods, and increase performance. I will write about it in the next newsletter.

If you ever have questions on treating specific patients with my protocol etc., feel free to contact me and I will try to be available.

4. Body Restoration An Owners Manual - An updated and expanded version of my first book Body Mechanics published almost 30 years ago. Part 1 has a chapter on each organ/gland. Each chapter teaches basic anatomy and physiology, causes and symptoms of dysfunction, as well as simple treatments your patient can do at home to complement your treatment. Part 2 explains the role of dysbiosis, food intolerances, toxic metals, nutritional deficiencies and neurotransmitter imbalances in health. The book is a great review for the doctor, but better yet it is a great tool to recommend to your patient. It will give them a better understanding of how their body works and the causes of health and disease, as well as the rationale of why you treat the way you do. It is very pro chiropractic. It is available for $1.99 on kindle at http://www.amazon.com/Body-Restoration-Owners-Manual-ebook/dp/B0050653C4/ref=sr_1_1?s=digital-text&ie=UTF8&qid=1353354004&sr=1-1 or in PDF form: http://bodyrestorationanownersmanual.com/html/Order.html

5. Body Restoration Cookbook - This companion volume to the above book was written by Cynthia Lebowitz and is now available free online (donations accepted). A wonderful tool for your patients as it contains almost 100 recipes- most without gluten, dairy, nightshades, etc. http://www.bodyrestorationanownersmanual.com/html/Cookbook.html
