New products

Supreme Nutrition products (shop.supremenutritionproducts.com, 800-922-1744) has just launched two new products

1. Cryptolepis Supreme

I’ve been waiting a long time for this product and have been taking it since its launch 10 days ago.

Cryptolepis sanguinolenta (Cs) is a medicinal plant, indigenous to Western Africa. It has been used to treat malaria for generations. Besides being used as an antimalarial treatment, Cryptolepis Sanguinolenta has been used in the USA to help those with Lyme disease (Borrelia burgdorferi), as well as its co-infections Bartonella, and Babesia. According to one study, the following herbs had the greatest inhibitory effect against Babesia duncani: Scutellaria Baicalensis (84%), Cryptolepis (80%), Japanese Knotweed (59%), and Artemisia Annua (58%) (1).

Cryptolepis also has the following properties, including: anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, anti-amoebic, anti-cancer, and anti-malarial features (2-6). This herb is a very broad-spectrum antimicrobial, similar to Melia and Golden Thread and I am personally using it for fungal, parasitic and bacterial issues also. It’s a popular herb for digestive disorders and infection, topically for skin infections, or orally for urinary tract.

Studies have shown it to be effective against the following bacteria: Staphylococcus saprophyticus, Staphylococcus aureus, Salmonella typhi, Proteus mirabilis, Escherichia coli, Proteus mirabilis, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Klebsiella pneumonia.

Other studies have also shown it to be effective against the following fungi: Candida albicans, Aspergillus niger, Microsporum canis, Epidermophyton floccosum, Trichophyton rubrum, Trichopyton mentagrophytes, and Saccharomyces cerevisiae.

Contraindications- Pregnancy and Nursing
Dosage 1-2 caps 3x/day

2. Black Cohosh Supreme

Black Cohosh (Actaea racemosa) has been used historically for various gynecological conditions for at least the last 500 years in North America and Europe. Also known as Cimicifuga racemosa, it is a perennial dicot of the Buttercup family native to the Eastern half North America. The roots and rhizomes are the parts of the plant used mostly for medicinal purposes. It is most well-known for treating menopausal symptoms but also has been used for the following; endometritis, amenorrhea, dysmenorrhea, menorrhagia, sterility, spontaneous abortion prevention, post childbirth uterine subinvolution, severe after-birth pains, and to increase breast milk production. (1). I’ve been using it for over 40 years with post-menopausal women to prevent hot flashes and as a substitute for many prescription hormones that on occasion prove problematic.

Its main indication is as an alternative to postmenopausal estrogen therapy for symptoms such as hot flashes, depression, excessive sweating, sleep problems, etc. To quote Lisa Ganora in Herbal Constituents “the triterpenoid saponins in Black Cohosh are not classical phytoestrogens; they do not bind to estrogen receptors… The use of Black Cohosh may be protective against breast cancer in humans although much remains to be understood.” It may even prolong survival rates as well as alleviate depression and anxiety in cancer patients. It has also shown strong anti-HIV activity (2).

It has also proved an effective treatment for migraines that occur during menstruation (3).

Even though some estrogens might increase the risk of breast cancer and blood clots, black cohosh does not and may in fact have the opposite effect.

Though lesser known for these, black cohosh can be quite effective for muscle and intercostal pain (5). Black cohosh has been historically considered one of the most effective herbs for the relief of neuralgic and rheumatic pains, so much so that a common name at one point was rheumatism weed.

Native Americans also used it for sore throat, headaches accompanying influenza, malaria (6).

Some cases of tinnitus have also been helped. This is due to the fact that it directly inhibits vasomotor centers involved with inner ear balance and hearing.

Other potential uses are anti-Alzheimer's, anti-inflammatory, anti-diabetic Antioxidant. It has shown anti-viral properties against coronavirus, hepatitis, and enterovirus (7). As with all our herbal products this is strictly a dried herb. We avoid standardization so as not to use any chemicals in the process and to retain the God given rations in the plant. Beyond using a GMP facility and doing microbial and heavy metal testing (we do both) we also have it tested by practitioners using both applied kinesiology and energetic medicine to help select the batch of raw material with the greatest efficacy.

Contraindications- do not take if pregnant or nursing
Dosage 1 cap, 3x daily

Testimony

Hi Michael:

Just wanted to update you on my experience with the Cissus and Lu Rong. I started taking them as you directed one month before my left hip replacement surgery. The x-rays had shown my bones were osteopenic. I had the surgery July 18 (I am now 11 days post-op) and my surgeon was amazed at the bone density I had! In one month, I went from osteopenic to normal bone density. He did not have to use any glue in the replacement to hold the prosthesis.

So, if this is not a great testimonial to the power and quality of your products, I do not know what it would be. It is definitely a thumbs down for that horrid Fosamax and whatever else they are peddling these days for osteoporosis.

Just wanted to tell you this and thank you!!!!

My friend and colleague Dr Steve Gangemi shared these 2 things with me recently

1) Toxicity of tampons https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0160412024004355

2) A study that was published in Cell last October (2023) showed that lower levels of circulating serotonin levels can have an impact on symptoms associated with Long COVID. The study notably states "Viral infection and type I interferon-driven inflammation reduce serotonin through three mechanisms: diminished intestinal absorption of the serotonin precursor tryptophan; platelet hyperactivation and thrombocytopenia, which impacts serotonin storage; and enhanced MAO-mediated serotonin turnover.” They also discuss the link between low serotonin impeding vagus activity and that affecting memory - a common complaint in Long Covid and other post-viral syndromes. St. John’s Wort can have a dramatic impact towards improving not just serotonin levels, but also helping to repair gut function (where serotonin is manufactured), as well and modulating immune function thus improving responses to viral and other infections.
*I know in our clinic (Lebowitz) since coming out with St Johns Wort we have found it much more useful than we anticipated as it has become one of our favorite anti-virals (besides its serotonin benefits).

1 Lebowitz Protocol June 2022 Seminar on Vimeo - Professionally filmed in 4K in the office
This class teaches an effective, easy, and fast way to "diagnose" and treat dysbiosis (fungal, bacterial, parasitic, viral, Lyme), food reactions, lectin sensitivities, metal and chemical toxicity/sensitivity, coagulation issues, organ dysfunction, EMF issues, and much more. It is well suited to both the newcomer to the Lebowitz protocol as well as physicians who have been following Dr. Lebowitz's work for many years.
http://michaellebowitzdc.com/html/seminar.html

A basic ability to perform manual muscle testing is necessary to utilize these techniques. Correcting the above mentioned issues can help alleviate many symptoms, including various gastro-intestinal issues, dermatological and respiratory problems, fatigue, brain fog, headaches, inflammatory conditions, fibromyalgia, auto-immune issues, neurological symptoms, chronic musculoskeletal conditions, etc.

New techniques to help eliminate false negatives, which are very common in muscle testing, are discussed and demonstrated as well as false positives, which often occur frequently in supplement testing. The class comes with a full, easy to follow, set of notes and Drs. Lebowitz is always easily accessible to answer questions you may have after you have started implementing the material.

This is the most in-depth, as well as the highest quality, seminar we have ever recorded.
In addition to the seminar itself we have a 15 minute recording of Dr. Michael Lebowitz taking a new patient history. We also have a 25 minute video on what to expect on a follow-up visit and how to approach continued care.

2. Personal Seminars with Dr. Lebowitz: Dr. Lebowitz teaches seminars to one or two doctors at a time at his office on Maui. This is probably the best way to learn our protocols with a personalized, hands on experience. To schedule one of these classes you need to either have watched the above vimeo or already taken a class with Dr. Lebowitz over the past 5 years. Cost depends on who long the session lasts (usually 3 to 5 hours depending on your needs). Fee is $150 per hour of class. For more info or to schedule call us at 970-623-9565. Noah Lebowitz DC is also available to teach the class (and sometimes you get us both).

3. Lebowitz protocol kit- Call Cynthia at AK Test Kits 970 201-7406 or see our website http://www.michaellebowitzdc.com for more details. These kits will greatly simplify and speed up your testing making you more efficient and accurate in patient assessment. These are “diagnostic kits”. Supplement kits are ordered directly from Supreme Nutrition 1-800-922-1744. With the majority of our patients, this is the only kit we use.

4. Body Restoration An Owners Manual - An updated and expanded version of my first book Body Mechanics published almost 30 years ago. Part 1 has a chapter on each organ/gland. Each chapter teaches basic anatomy and physiology, causes and symptoms of dysfunction, as well as simple treatments your patient can do at home to complement your treatment. Part 2 explains the role of dysbiosis, food intolerances, toxic metals, nutritional deficiencies and neurotransmitter imbalances in health. The book is a great review for the doctor, but better yet it is a great tool to recommend to your patient. It will give them a better understanding of how their body works and the causes of health and disease, as well as the rationale of why you treat the way you do. It is very pro chiropractic. It is available for $1.99 on kindle at https://www.amazon.com/Body-Restoration-Owners-Manual-ebook/dp/B0050653C4/

5. Body Restoration Cookbook - This companion volume to the above book was written by Cynthia Lebowitz and is now available free online (donations accepted). A wonderful tool for your patients as it contains almost 100 recipes- most without gluten, dairy, nightshades, etc. Body Restoration Cookbook

6. God’s Preventative Medicine- It explains how the Levitical Priests dealt with fungal dysbiosis, biofilms, etc. both preventatively and treatment wise as well as the reasons behind some of the other health laws of the Torah. $1.99 on kindle. It is a short easy to understand book and fascinating for the student of health and the Bible God's Preventative Medicine
