Dear Colleagues, I hope you are all well and had a wonderful holiday season. Do you ever have patients who test negative on a food they know they react to? For instance: Joe gets diarrhea when he eats corn (even if it is a hidden ingredient in a recipe) yet corn tests negative. If you take the food away and have them imagine eating corn, it most often too, will test negative. What often happens though is, if they imagine eating corn and at the same time you test it, it will weaken. Or, if you say, "Now I am testing corn" while you test it, it will weaken.
It is my opinion that there is some type of "body memory pattern" in these patients that even though the physiology/biochemistry is corrected, their body is still conditioned to react. We have found that often many of the set points will negate this reaction and the person will no long react, after treated.
In other words, see which "hypothalamic setpoints" (a technique Wally Schmitt and I co-authored a paper on in 1989 and won the "Paper of the Year Award" from ICAK), negate this type of food reaction (have patient touch B & E point on the head and corresponding NL). While you expose the patient to the food and they think about eating it, treat the appropriate setpoints. Often this will reset the body memory pattern.
This can often be done, too, for certain metals (especially mercury in chronic patients) and chemical odors (perfumes, colognes, etc) with good results.
Remember the key for these is the person tests negative on the substance unless they are thinking about eating it and being exposed to it. The procedure may have to be repeated a time or two on future visits to reinforce it.
If this is confusing, feel free to call me for clarification.
PRODUCT NEWS
1. BEFE (Bio-electric Field Enhancement Unit). This has to be one of the most fascinating gadgets I have dealt with in years. It comes from Australia and you put the unit into a bath or footbath (footbath is much easier and can be used in office) and you relax for 35 minutes. If your water is mineral rich it separates out the minerals in the bath. For example, our iron rich Colorado River water, they call tap water here, gets a substantial layer of brown sludge on it (what a great way to sell water filters). Patients report increased range of motion, improvement in headaches, skin conditions, allergies, etc. The water after bathing or doing a foot bath in it tests via AK, like chemicals and/or metals were released by the patient's body. The color change in the water is fascinating and made me want to investigate further.
I had a DC friend of mine be the 'guinea pig'. She had a history of showing occasionally for metals with muscle testing and had been on Captomer (Thorne Research) on occasion. We had her stay off Captomer for a week or so prior to the test with Doctors Data (1-800-323-2784) and throughout the treatment period. We then repeated the test after one treatment, and then after 5 treatments (13 days later). Here are the results (in micrograms/24 hours where zero means below detectable limits) on the metals with significant changes.

What is apparent is that treatment definitely increases metal excretion. Except for aluminum the first provocative test yielded the most metal excreted though after 5 treatments, we still had elevated excretion levels of Arsenic, Cadmium and Nickel. The aluminum increase is phenomenal.
Treatment is done every 2nd or 3rd day for 6 weeks or so and repeated a few months later. A few people go through a "cleansing reaction" though in most it is uneventful. Many doctors do this in office as a 'PT' type treatment. The cost of the unit is high -about $2300, but for your serious metal patients it is well worth it. Also with billing the patient for hydro or electrotherapy it will quickly pay for itself. Leasing is also available. I have my own personal unit. Ever since my first treatment in October, I no longer show a positive TL to my liver NL - which showed consistently for the prior 2 years.
If you are interested in one or in more information call or email Bob Maroney 303-766-1292, bobmoroney@home.com. Tell him we referred you (if you buy a unit we get a small commission but your price is the same either way).
There have been reports of improvement in autistic patients, too.
In my storage closet I have literally thousands and thousands of dollars of gadgets I bought but found of very limited use in my quest for equipment that really makes an impact. This is one of the few that won't be relegated to the closet.
CASE HISTORY
1. Helen, a 36-year-old presented with lethargy, depression, hypoglycemia, anxiety, restlessness. On a 10 scale with 10 being optimal energy and 0 being barely existing, she rated herself as a 0. This had been going on for 12 years though getting worse the last 2. She had tried many doctors, conventional and alternative - including the latest EAV type testing and treatment. In her words, none of it helped.
We found fungal and parasitic involvement and sensitivity to dairy. We desensitized her and placed on an appropriate diet. We supplemented with SF722, Artecin, L-Tyrosine, Basic B, Biomins II and Glycotone (all Thorne) and Black Cohash tincture (Eclectic). On her 3 week recheck she appeared dysbiosis free and was saying how much energy she had and how we were the first doctor that has helped. She was asymptomatic. She continues on Biomins II, L-Tyrosine, Glycotone and Black Cohash.
A very easy and satisfying case. I think it is very important not to have tunnel vision when testing someone and that is why on a first visit we test and treat for all forms of dysbiosis, food reactions and nutrient deficiencies. Doing them all at once yields optimal results. Once those are gone (on subsequent visits) if the patient is still symptomatic we move onto metals, chemicals, hormones, etc. Of course we do 'regular' chiropractic and basic AK on each visit, too.
