Dear Colleagues, We hope you are well and hope to see quite a few of you at the seminar at La Guardia the end of the month. It should be a great class. I will be out of town the week before the seminar so if you have any questions please call before then.
Note our new address above. For the most of my professional career I have had my office in the home. Even thought it is not right for everyone, it has served me well. By cutting down on overhead it has allowed me to make a good living without overworking and I have had more time around my family. It has had some negative points, too - in a sense you never leave the office, and patients call all hours of the day and night. With this new move we will have a separate building with my office in it next to the house. This will hopefully maintain all the benefits of the home office without the negative points. I know some of you who do it already and love it.
The upstairs of the "office building" has a big open space where we have the option to teach seminars, patient education classes, etc. I am looking forward to it.
Next month I turn 50 and have decided to celebrate with a family cross-country road trip (to NY where I will be teaching). Hopefully it will be fun and you can still call or email if you need to reach me, though it may take a little longer to get back to you. It's interesting being in AK so long, seeing some of you as students back in the 80's turn into some of the world's most accomplished physicians. It is a fine profession of which to be a part.
INTERESTING INFORMATION FROM A COLLEGUE
This was submitted by William Kent Renas DC in Front Royal, VA:
"I have been using Undecyn and SF722 as a topical treatment for some lesions or cysts, especially breast cysts. Have pt TL lesion, then find which product negates TL. If it is SF722, tell the PT to puncture the capsule and apply contents over lesion. SF722 can on occasion cause a burning sensation on some lesions (usually most sensitive areas are neck and lips) so inform the PT of this possibility and have them remove it at the first sign of discomfort.
If Undecyn negates TL then have PT open the capsule and mix contents with a little water and apply as a paste.
This is much easier for patient because the bentonite causes it to dry rapidly and is not as messy as SF722. The application is daily until desired results are achieved or TL is negative. I have gotten golf-ball size cysts to disappear in 24 hours! (the exception not necessarily the rule) and very painful breasts calm down in just a few days. I suspect the abundance of estrogen docking sites in the breast attract yeast and fungi. The immediate migration of yeast away from Undecyn and SF722 or die off, can cause changes in the shape of the breast, i.e.: nipple inversion or cavatation. To avoid this, simply apply only twice per week until TL is negated.
Of course cleaning up dysbiosis is a priority. It is very damp and humid where I live and compliance isn't always the greatest!! (I've had patients say they would give up SEX before they would give up their sugar!!) So this is a tool to use until or in lieu of compliance.
To CYA: I always have the patient touch the lesion underneath their gown or clothing. (personal or private areas)"
CASE HISTORIES
1. Kelly is a 37-year-old yoga instructor. She first presented with a chronic cough of several years' duration, PMS symptoms that last 10 days of each cycle, chronic join pains and 10 pounds overweight.
Our exam suggested fungal and viral involvement as well as sensitivities to soy and green and red pepper. She also weakened on estrogen, negated by TL to the liver. We desensitized her to the fungus, foods and estrogen and placed her on SF722, Arabinex, L-Tyrosine, and Basic Nutrients III (all Thorne). We re-examined Kelly 3 weeks later. She had lost 8 pounds and no longer suffered from joint pains, coughing or PMS. The only finding we had was a need for S.A.T. (Thorne). She continues to remain well.

3. Personal Seminars with Dr. Lebowitz: Dr. Lebowitz teaches seminars to one or two doctors at a time in his home/office in Grand Junction, CO. It is approximately 4 miles from the airport serviced by United, Delta and Continental Airlines. Seminars run from 9:00-4:00. These classes are tailored to meet your individual needs and can be as basic or advanced as you would like. Treatment for you and/or your family can be included in the teaching.
