I hope you all are well. I look forward to see some of you at our Feb 16th seminar at Scottsdale. In the previous ads for the class we neglected to put the street address of the Courtyard Marriott not realizing there was more than one in town. The new flyer in this newsletter (page 3) corrects this and lists the phone number that goes directly to the hotel instead of the 800 number for the Marriott in general. Sorry for any confusion this may have caused. I plan to add a little bit of new ideas to our toxic metal protocol as well as some other things. With all the new techniques on the market it is hard to know which to use. Our techniques have stood the test of time and have been updated as needed to smooth out the rough edges, so to speak. Most AK folks agree they are the most thorough and yield the best results in dealing with allergies, toxicities, etc. I cannot guarantee you will make $1,000,000 a year with them and drive a Hummer but you will get the satisfaction of helping the vast majority of chronically ill people you see including many that no one else can help, and make a very comfortable living. Compared to some other techniques, start up costs for equipment are minimal (anywhere between $100-$300). Most people who become proficient with our techniques have waiting list practices and will start attracting patients from hundreds of miles away. This past year we have had patients from the 4 corners of the US (ME, CA, FL, AK) as well as Australia, Russia, etc. Practicing becomes fun, challenging and very satisfying.
When we instruct our patients where they might be exposed to toxic metals we usually list the obvious: amalgams (Hg), copper water pipes, termite treated lumber (arsenic), cigarette smoke and coal burning (cadmium), etc. Often we neglect to mention one of the main sources that is fairly unavoidable: food. Since 1985 it has been legal to sell hazardous waste from factories, foundries, mining and even nuclear fuel processing as fertilizer as long as it contains either macro or micro nutrients needed by plants. Much of this material is also laden with toxic metals such as mercury, lead, arsenic as well as chemicals such as dioxin, xeno-hormones etc. In applied kinesiology when we food test using some type of food test kit, in chronic patients we sometimes do not see them weaken on many foods. If we were to go and test foods from their refrigerator, they would weaken on many. I have noticed that phenomena for many years and I felt it was a product of perhaps hybridization, pesticides, herbicides, and soil conditions but I never realized soil conditions were so bad. Some organic food may be just as bad if the soil has only recently been converted to organic and was commercial for decades before.
Many years ago in one of my early newsletters I reported on a middle age woman who suffered from both lupus and rheumatoid arthritis and first presented using a walker. Both her and her husband felt she would not live more than a few more years as they watched the fast progression of these conditions. From correcting dysbiosis and (with SF722, Berbercap, etc. in combination with our diagnostic and desensitization techniques) toxic metals (she regularly took Captomer for 2 years at a relatively low dose) everything turned around. She remains well years later though still needs to take Captomer (orally and topically) on occasion and Glutathione (Thorne Research 1-800-228-1966). Recently she brought in her teenage daughter who was exhibiting similar symptoms as well as chronic fatigue and gastro-intestinal issues. She seemed she was genetically heading down the same path as her mom, despite a relatively healthy lifestyle. The onset came after a few rather severe emotion stresses. Without those stresses the symptoms might have remained dormant for a longer period. She had a resistant dysbiosis that a great DC friend of mine couldn't totally clear and showed metals sporatically. We took a very aggressive approach to clear the dysbioisis treating her a few times over the week, changing supplements as needed and giving high doses and we finally cleared the dysbiosis. As is often the case- once the dysbiosis was clear the metals showed as a very severe problem (I am writing this off the top of my head and do not have the chart in front of me so I am being a little vague). We put her on 500 mg. of Captomer daily at that point as well as a few other things. It is a month later now and things are starting to very successfully turn around. Even though I stress dysbiosis so much, we cannot neglect toxic metals. I personally do not find the protocols that diagnose and treat with homeopathics very effective for severe toxic metal cases, and find we have to be aggressive and use strong substances like Captomer. Even after the person becomes relatively asymptomatic they should be checked periodically for the rest of their lives. Some people have the type of biochemistry that causes them to store more of the metals they are exposed to than others. We are all exposed but only some of us develop symptoms.
Much of the rise of developmental and neurological problems is due to rampant dysbiosis and metal toxicity. We can drug these people to calm symptoms and mask the problem until it pops its head as some type of auto-immune problem or weird neurological disease later on or treat the cause.
If you do not find metals on the patient but suspect them, you can desensitize them for their dysbioisis, foods, etc. and right after the desensitization re-check the metals. That type test brings us down to a deeper level, so to speak and allows us to see what comes next on that patient. Of course on some patients metals will show from the start so you won't have to dig deeper to find them.
