Dear Colleagues:

I hope you all are well. I am sorry I missed many of you at the ICAK meeting but it was unavoidable as a good friend died and I needed to be here in Colorado. I would like you to carefully read page 3 as we have some new products and videos available as well as a closeout special. Some of you were informed of some of these (but not all of these) about a month ago if you received this newsletter by email. If you get the snail mail copy, it will be new information.

Jay Wilson and I are planning a new seminar for September. It will teach the newest version of our complete protocol to treat the chronic patient. It will utilize the new test vials we recommend (Test Kit consultants 1-970-243-0477) and it is definitely the fastest, most thorough and efficient version of the protocol we have ever presented. It will be our only classroom style seminar of the year and will be here in Grand Junction. The main purpose will be to come out with a high quality video of the class to make available to all of you. We will not be sending out flyers for this class but we are opening it up to a limited number of doctors who want to make the trek out to Grand Junction. The date for the class is Sunday Sept. 14th from 9AM to approximately 5PM and it will be at our home/office. Cost is $250 and you must call to reserve your spot and pay by August 31st. Having the microbial, food and metal test kits from Test Kit Consultants and bringing them along is not mandatory but will make it easier for you to participate in the workshopping portions as we will not have many extra available (they do take about 2 weeks to get them from time of ordering).

The seminar will teach the physician a simple to apply, effective protocol to treat patients with chronic fatigue, allergies, chemical sensitivities, intestinal dysbiosis, (fungal, bacterial, parasitic, and viral infections), food sensitivities, altered intestinal permeability, toxic metal problems, endocrine dysfunction, nutritional imbalances, chronic pain and subluxations, headaches, asthma, auto-immune problems, etc. Knowledge of basic muscle testing is helpful. A complete protocol is taught that you can start using immediately to treat even the most chronic patients. The class is suited for both the novice and the advanced practitioners in our work. A complete set of notes accompanies the class.

Our office is 4 miles from the Grand Junction airport and there are many hotels near the airport.

FYI

I do not possess a diplomate in neurology and in fact I am very ignorant in it so maybe this finding is so basic that all of you will say “I knew that years ago” but I will share it anyway. I have a patient who should be a professional baseball player some day. He is a great pitcher though every time his posterior deltoid “blows out” he temporarily loses some control and also loses about 6mph velocity which makes a tremendous difference. He is presently being looked at by different scouts and needs to be at his best. We found that certain biomechanics he falls back into occasionally (rolling his shoulder on the follow through) is what blows out his posterior deltoid and so far all the work we have done on it including about every structural AK fix we could think of yields results only until he rolls his shoulder again. The other work we have done on him plus supplementing him with basic Nutirents IV, L-Carnitine and Manganese Picolinate (all Thorne research 1-800-228-1966) have helped him tremendously overall but this posterior deltoid seems like one of the last pieces of the puzzle. I have taught his dad how to fix it but again it is only temporary. Until I find a way to make the correction “permanent” or until he has corrected the aberrant biomechanics and stops rolling his shoulder ever again, I wanted to find some easy correction he could do to reset the muscle during the game to get back on track. We tried different range of motion and resistance exercises utilizing the muscle. It will make it slightly stronger but it still never locks in. Finally we did an experiment. We looked up the innervation and found it to be C6. We also found the extensor carpi radialis to be C6. We theorized maybe we could “exercise C6” so to speak by contracting the extensor carpi radialis against resistance (he used his other hand for resistance). After 6 contractions of the flexor carpi radialis the posterior deltoid “locked in” very nicely. This is a movement he can easily do in the dugout or even on the mound if necessary to reset the posterior deltoid.

We have tried this with other muscles i.e. contracting against resistance a muscle that has the same innervation as the weak one about 6 times and the results have been very satisfactory. Please try it out and share your input. Again I feel alittle out of my league here.

Short case history

Don is a 60 year old air conditioning repair man presenting with severe breathing problems and went to the local MD who went thorough X-rays and even an MRI, as well as basic bloodwork. The MD thought it could be cancer but found nothing definitive and gave some antibiotics that yielded no results. Using our new test vials (which do not locate the site of the infection) we found he weakened on the following composite vials: bacteria, mixed parasites, and protozoa. Phytogen blocked the bacteria, Berbercap the protozoa and Artecin (all Thorne) the parasites. We supplemented these as well as Glutathione, and HMC hesperidan. Don came back and reported tremendous improvement in all the respiratory symptoms. He continues on the glutathione and the HMC hesperidan and continues to do well. Whether the parasitic infections were respiratory we do not know. We also plan to test the different chemicals he is exposed to at work to see if any of them are weakening his lungs.

New Products Available

1. I wanted to let you know of a new series of health lectures we have available. Dr. Natalie Liesman and I recently completed a series of 4 lay lectures given to an audience of both existing and prospective patients. The purpose of the lectures was more educational than promotional though we usually get many new patients as a result. We had these lectures professionally video taped and have decided to make them available.

Each of the four tapes runs 60-90 minutes. They can be used to help formulate your own lay lectures or you can sell or rent them to patients for their education thus saving you many hours plus building up your patients’ knowledge base.

The four are as follows:

1 Nutrition and fatigue- goes into endocrine dysfunction, dysbiosis especially fungal

problems, food sensitivities, EMF’s, nutrient deficiencies, etc.

2 Women’s Health- osteoporosis, PMS, menopause, depression, etc.

3 Children’s Health- infections, ADHD, etc.

4 Men’s Health and Misc. Issues.

Single videos are $25 each + $4 shipping. The set of four is $80. Six or more sets are $60 each. Add $5 for a set for book rate or $10 for priority mail.

2. Newly produced 30 minute video by Dr. Lebowitz dealing with toxic metals: symptoms, testing, treatment, etc. This video was presented at the June 2003 ICAK meeting in Chicago. Comes with notes and is just $15 ppd.

3. We are putting our May 2002 Denver video on sale in anticipation of our new one. We are marking it down from $225 to $120ppd (check or paypal). There are only 11 copies left and we will not make more. If you want one I suggest you call to reserve a copy ASAP. For more details on the video and what it contains see page 4.

4. Laseronix has made a new laser. These are the folks that make the wonderful rectangular output laser 635nm, 5mw for only $220. It is my favorite laser and I have used it for a few years. Recently they came out with a new laser called “The Desensitizer”. What they did was take the basic laser and enhance it biophontonically with remedial frequencies to the microbial vials and toxic metal vials from the test kit consultants kit we recommend. This helps the body even more so to resolve microbial and toxic metal issues quickly and efficiently. It too is 635nm and 5 mw. I have come to now use this one instead of the basic model and am very pleased. The cost is $499 ppd. (compare that to other comparable products and you will find it to be a real bargain). To order or for more info call Dr. John Nix at 808-879-9391.
