Dear Colleagues:
Hope you all are well. The newsletter is alittle late this month as I was down at spring training in AZ, helping a patient who is a professional baseball player. He was hit in the head with a fastball during the 2005 season and has never fully recovered. This was my first time working with him in person (2 treatments so far) and besides the usual protocol findings and basic AK (origin-insertion, gaits, reactive muscles, subluxations, hyertonic muscles, etc) we have been checking ballplayers in different eye positions. On Alan we found that his eyes in a lateral right position caused universal muscle weakness. That is the position he is in when he is waiting for a pitch. We corrected it by rubbing some reflexes including K-27 while in that eye position. I am anxious to see if it has an effect on his batting average which was down 80 points last season.
This issue is mainly going to be comments by other docs on products, etc
Comments on BodyGuard Supreme 1-800-922-1744
Besides helping EMF sensitivity BodyGuard is a very hepato-protective, hepato-restorative product and as a result can help with hypersenstivities and vitamin/mineral/EFA intolerance as you can see in the 2 reports below.
I have been taking BodyGuard Supreme for about 6 weeks. Previous to taking it I would often react to taking vitamin and mineral and fatty acid supplements. They would often cause headaches and sore throats. I was also "allergic" to many foods- especially wheat and dairy and they too would cause migraines and sore throats if I ate them. I can now take vitamins regularly and eat wheat and dairy regularly without reacting to them. Body Guard has decreased my hypersensitivities by about 80%

During a long period of time I have shown intolerance against all kinds of fatty acids, both with AK and also when/after eating them. When eating oils, my stomach got upset and sometimes an ache occurred just over the liver area, sometimes in all the GI tract. I am very restricted when it comes to eating fish, due to its toxicity. Over time I started to show classic symptoms of lack of fatty acids. When I tested BodyGuard Supreme, it tested very well with AK, so I decided to take it. About a week or so after that, I tested good with fatty acids (Super EPA from Thorne Research) for the first time in months and it also works fine when I actually take it. No stomach upsets nor any ache over the liver area nor the GI tract.

Am really impressed with the breadth of this kit. When I started doing AK 22 years ago, I could only dream about having the opportunity to utilize such a fine tool.
Comment on MorindaSupreme (1-800-922-1744) by Barbara Harvey MD
Another little Morinda story for you; I have an elderly woman I have known
for years; very sick; if her husband even takes a medication or has a
surgical procedure she will get worse just from whatever may be offgassing
off of him. I've never been able to help her in the slightest other than
to help her try compounding nutrients and hormones to apply transdermally as
her GI tract doesn't tolerate anything even food. It occurred to me to
suggest Morinda and just got a note from her; she's tolerating foods and
having fewer GI symptoms; her chiropractor is amazed and says she now tests
much better in adrenal and pituitary department. Her husband and children
have all been started on it and all doing better as well. Another woman,
professional up in Ithaca who had had years of terrible bloating in abdomen.
We identified food reactions and that helped but the Morinda has really
improved things; her chiropractor was suspicious of anything I recommend
being an MD and all, so I sent up a copy of your newsletter and she is now
quite impressed and able to accept this woman's progress. Funny. Again
thanks for your expertise and I am very interested in the herb for EMF's!
Dialogue between Natalie Liesman DC, her patient, and the patient’s dad- a research chemist
Michael,
This is from one of my patients. We found via muscle testing that she needed the Captomer and Zinc Carbonate simultaneously. Afterward, she had some conversations with her chemist father and these were the results. She told me about these ratios on her last visit and I found them fascinating--especially after we avoided mixing the two for so long. This makes it sound almost like we should mix the two more often, or at least test the combo like we do now
Natalie
Hi Dr. Natalie,
As requested here is the information from my dad on taking the DMSA with zinc. To lend some credibility to "Dad"--Ron Greinke in the email--he is a retired PhD research chemist with 26 US Patents and specialty in carbon chemistry. As his daughter, and someone who didn't take to chemistry quite as easily as him, I rely on him for researching little issues like this way better and quicker than I could! He is by nature a problem solver and was relied on heavily by his company to find the answer when no one else could. Good man.
It seems that mercury and zinc are pretty close on the affinity listing. What I got from my dad's statements was that if you completely salt out DMSA with the appropriate ratio of zinc by swishing both in some water in your mouth before swallowing, the DMSA will hold onto the zinc until it finds something it likes better and then deposit the zinc molecules at the site it found the mercury, lead, arsenic...etc. And receiving the zinc would most like be extremely helpful to the cell purging the heavy metal.
Hope this helps someone.

Lynn: I found the information on the ability of DMSA to chelate zinc vs mercury, lead , and cadmium. DMSA bonds stronger to mercury, lead, and cadmium compared to zinc. (Just what you want). Therefore, if you make and swallow a solution of DMSA and zinc in the stoichiometric weight ratio of 3/1, the three toxic metals will displace the zinc on the DMSA molecule inside your body. Acidity reduces the effectiveness of the DMSA.
The affinity of DMSA for metals is in this order: Cd++ > Pb++ >Fe++ > Hg++ > Zn++ > Ni++.(30)
Lynn: You asked about how much zinc you should simultaneously consume when undertaking chelation therapy with DMSA. This is assuming that you have no mercury or lead in your body to complex with the DMSA. Then the DMSA is free to latch onto any cation available in your body such as zinc. Since you don't want to deplete your body zinc, take a zinc supplement that will react with an equivalent weight of DMSA. Since DMSA is difunctional (two carboxylic acid groups on a molecule) and zinc is divalent (+2 charge), the equivalent weights are
proportional to the molecular weight of DMSA (182) and the atomic weight of zinc (65) or a DMSA/Zn weight ratio of approximately 3/1. I think that all zinc containers tell you how much zinc is in the pill, such as 50 mg / pill. The actual weight of the pill is more than 50 mg since the zinc is attached to an anion (such as citrate, CO3, etc). So if you are taking 300 mg of DMSA for the therapy, you need 100 mg of zinc to make sure you are not depleting zinc from your body. Since both lead and mercury form a complex with DMSA that is stronger than the zinc complex, the lead and mercury if present will displace the zinc and they will be eliminated from your body. The complexes will get stronger as the pH of your body is higher. Hope this helps. Dad
1.DVD- Correcting Chronic Health Problems 2005: This DVD seminar, approximately 6 hours long will teach the physician a simple to apply, effective protocol to treat patients with chronic fatigue, allergies, chemical sensitivities, intestinal dysbiosis, (fungal, bacterial, parasitic, and viral infections), food sensitivities, altered intestinal permeability, toxic metal problems, endocrine dysfunction, nutritional imbalances, chronic pain and subluxations. Knowledge of basic muscle testing is helpful. A complete protocol is taught that you can use to treat even the most chronic patients.
