Dear Colleagues

I hope you all are well. As you will see with the enclosed flyer, on June 24th, Jay Wilson DC and I will be teaching our new updated seminar called Treating the Complex Patient. We decided to teach it at my Grand Junction office. I have a large seminar room in the office where the class will be held. We hope to get an excellent DVD from it to offer to those of you that cannot come. I have been on the road so much this year that teaching at home will be easier and we can keep it fairly intimate to make sure those that come get lots of one on one hands on experience. It will be suited to both the beginning and advanced practitioners. I am thrilled to be teaching with Jay again. It should be a great class and we hope you can make it.

NEW PRODUCTS

1. AK Test Kits (1-888-323-0625) there is now a new Personal Care test kit - The energy patterns of common ingredients in personal care products, including sodium lauryl sulphate (SLS), aloe vera, isopropyl myristate, propyl gallate, propylene glycol, cocoa butter and 3 parabens. 31 vials, plus one composite vials

2. AK Test Kits (1-888-323-0625)

New vials have been added to the virus and bacteria kits. If you already have the kit, you can buy the additions with a new composite vial. If you are buying these for the first time now, they will automatically be included in the corresponding kits.

4 new Bacteria vials

BCT53 Borrelia Vincent- causes severe ulcerating gingivitis (trench mouth) typically found in those with poor oral hygiene but can also occur as a result of stress, cigarette smoking and poor nutrition; also can be found in those with serious illnesses and compromised immune systems.

BCT 54 Clostridium Difficile- causes diarrhea, colitis, peritonitis. This organism often occurs after normal gut flora is eradicated by the use of antibiotics ; infection often occurs in hospitals and in nursing homes. Some adults have low numbers of the bacteria without any symptoms. It is common in the intestine of babies and infants, but does not often cause disease because its toxins do not damage their immature intestinal cells.

BCT55 Mycobacterium Paratuberculosis- found in the intestinal tract of some people with Crohn’s disease (about 7.5% of those studied); found in less than 1% of healthy individuals (Food Safety Authority of Ireland). In the USA, 40% of large dairy herds are infected with Mycobacterium paratuberculosis. It can survive pasteurization.

BCT56 Neisseria Catarrhalis/Moraxella Catarrhalis / Micrococcus Catarrhalis / Branhamella Catarrhalis a common cause of otitis media and sinusitis and an occasional cause of laryngitis; causes bronchitis or pneumonia in children and adults with underlying chronic lung disease commensal in the nasopharyx.

1 new Virus vial

VI 21 Parvovirus causes slapped cheek disease (fifth disease / erythema infectiosum); a distinctive red, lacy-like rash on cheeks (and sometimes other parts of body), headache, fever. This occurs most often in children; 20% to 30% remain symptom-free even though infected. In adults it can cause joint pains and swelling, miscarriages in the first 20 weeks of pregnancy and can cause chronic anaemia in those with HIV or who have had organ transplants. It is thought that 60% of all adults in the UK have been infected with Parvovirus at some point, usually as a child (NHS Direct).

CASE HISTORY

Carolyn is a 23 year old dental hygienist. She first came in April 2007 presenting with sharp pain over her liver. This pain has been for four years duration. She also suffered from life long constipation and was diagnosed as having IBS. For the last 7 years she has been taking birth control pills.

On muscle testing she weakened on the following vials by AK Test Kits: mixed fungus composite, mixed protozoa composite, wheat, dairy, lamb, and orange. We supplemented with Morinda Supreme (1-800-922-1744), Magnesium Citrate, and Pyridoxal-5-Phosphate (Thorne Research 1-800-228-1966). We desensitized her and took her off refined sweetening, fermented foods, and the 4 foods she was sensitive to.

She came back three weeks later. She had been asymptomatic since day 3 of the treatment and had lost 10 pounds (she was very pleased with that). She continued to test for the 3 supplements we put her on and we continue to monitor her. She was able to stay on her birth control pills (in some patients it interferes with overcoming dysbiosis).

Sunday June 24, 2007

This is our first seminar since 2005 and will have much new information - some we are even now working on as this is written. You will learn a comprehensive approach to:

ü dealing with complex patients,

ü easily and quickly correct dysbiosis (fungi, yeast, parasite, bacteria and viral issues),

ü food sensitivities,

ü electro-magnetic problems,

ü hormonal imbalances,

ü chemical sensitivities,

ü toxic metals, etc.

These type findings can lead to auto-immune diseases, most gastro-intestinal symptoms, allergies, asthma, chronic subluxations, chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, etc., etc

A very basic ability to muscle test is helpful. This class will be suited to both the advanced and beginning student.

The class will be small and intimate so we can make sure you understand and master the techniques. We hope to produce a DVD from the class for those of you that cannot attend.

Unlike some seminars the startup costs for doing this technique are not thousands of dollars. You do not need super expensive lasers, adjusting instruments etc- just test kits, supplements, an inexpensive laser, and a magnet.

Dr. Lebowitz

Michael has practiced the art and science of applied kinesiology for 30 years and has taught for approximately 18 years. Over these years Dr. Lebowitz has developed many techniques that are presently used by over a thousand physicians in the US, Canada, Europe, Asia, Africa, and Australia. His research and innovation have added much in the way of testing techniques and clinical observations to alternative medicine in the fields of dysbiosis, food sensitivities, toxic metals, chemical and electromagnetic field sensitivity as well as neurological desensitization techniques.

Dr. Lebowitz has been a prolific writer, authoring 2 books, over 60 articles, and a free monthly newsletter for over 15 years (you can subscribe to it via his website). He maintains a
home office practice in Grand Junction, Colorado where he attracts patients from around the globe. He has treated many professional athletes (NHL, NFL, MLB, cyclists, runners, swimmers, etc.) as well as many physicians.

Dr. Wilson

Jay has been practicing applied kinesiology for over 20 years and has taught for over a decade. His successful practice in Boulder, CO, often has a waiting list of 6 months or more. With his knowledge of biochemistry, lab work and physiology he and Michael make a great teaching team.

The seminar will be from 9AM - 5PM. Hours should qualify for CO continuing education requirements.
