I will be teaching a quick effective and inexpensive way to “diagnose” dysbiosis, food issues, toxic metals, organ imbalances. etc. There will be a fair amount of time spent covering my new work on food toxins (I was honored to win the ICAK research paper of the year award along with my friend Dr Kapadia for our paper on Food Toxins) and it will be a very hands on class with lots of work-shopping and practical info on products you can use, etc. A new organ screening technique will also be presented that has proven very useful.

Had a real interesting case to share with you. A 54 year old male came in with a 4 year history of daily pain starting in both hands and feet. His hands and feet would swell and the pain would travel up the arms and legs till he was pretty much unable to do much. I asked him to grade the pain from 1 to 10. He said it could go from 7 to 11.
He consulted a neurologist, neurosurgeon, internist and oncologist. At one point he was told he had cancer. After every scan and blood test you can think of they offered a treatment where they would put him under anesthesia and go into his mouth with a long needle, through the neck and enter the spinal cord with an injection. They told him there would be a 25% chance that he would be paralyzed after the treatment but it might rid him of the pain.
He tested positive for caffeine, theobromine, theophylline, solanine, candida, albacans (AK Test Kits 1-888-323-0625) and an air sample from his bedroom. He reported drinking coffee many times per day. He had a job where repairing and replacing mold damage at the resort where he worked was at a minimum ,a weekly task. He also had a roof leak at the house that caused alot of mold in the bedroom.
He tested positive for Reishi Supreme Melia Supreme Takesumi Supreme (Supreme Nutrition 1-800-922-1744) and FC Cidal from Biotics.
On his next follow up 5 weeks later, he reported that he has not had any pain at all since 24 hours after his first visit and lost 23 pounds and feels great.
On this follow up visit I could not fond any positive findings.
Thought you might find this interesting. The new protocols are really working nicely. And avoiding Solanine has been very helpful for me.

While in chiropractic school, I got very ill for several months at a time. I would experience an intense sharp, burning type of pain throughout my body. Needless to say, my body was extremely inflamed and I really wasn't getting any answers from the doctors that I had been to, even with all the treatments, blood work and other tests they ran.
I began seeing Dr Carl Amodio for this issue and he discovered that among a host of other things, I had a very high level of solanines in my body that I was unable to clear effectively on my own. If I remember correctly, Carl said that I was one of the worst, if not the worst case he'd seen regarding solanine toxicity. He incorporated Thera Supreme (1-800-922-1744) into my recovery program and I can honestly say that I felt a big difference right away! I continued to take it even after I stopped testing positive on solanines, mainly because I felt better overall while taking it.

Case History #3- patient of Michael Lebowitz
Karen is a 39 year old female. She presented in June with severe neck pain stemming from an auto accident in 2006 and resultant frequent headaches. She had been through good chiropractic care as well as cervical spinal decompression with very little help. She also felt her whole upper body was weak. We went through our whole protocol. We did not find dysbiosis or toxic metals. Food and food toxin testing (vials by AK Test Kits 1-888-323-0625) showed positive tests to methylxanthines (caffeine etc.) casein, zein and peanut. The only supplements she needed were L-Carnitine and L-Tyrosine (Thorne 1-800-228-1966). We supplemented and took her off the foods. Manual muscle testing showed weakness bilaterally of all the divisions of the scalene, SCM, upper trapezius, and levator scapula muscles. We worked on the muscles with origin and insertion technique and adjusted her cervical. Due to scheduling conflicts we could not recheck her for four weeks. She told us she was exhausted from the treatment and the exhaustion continued for 3 weeks (food withdrawal?). She had no headaches and no pain since the treatment. She said her cervical were 100%. She continued to test positive on casein and methylxanthines despite 100% avoidance on the return visit and we needed to add Wild greens Supreme (Supreme Nutrition 1-800-922-1744) to her daily regimen. It was interesting that even tho this was due to sever physical trauma it appears that dietary intervention (mainly avoidance of certain foods) it what probably did the most to resolve her symptoms. The food toxin work though at times it is hard to get patient compliance has yielded some of the most profound changes I have seen in all my years of practice.

Each chapter teaches basic anatomy and physiology, causes and symptoms of dysfunction, as well as simple treatments your patient can do at home to complement your treatment. Part 2 explains the role of dysbiosis, food intolerances, toxic metals, nutritional deficiencies and neurotransmitter imbalances in health.
The book is a great review for the doctor, but better yet it is a great tool to sell to your patient. It will give them a better understanding of how their body works and the causes of health and disease, as well as the rationale of why you treat the way you do. It is very pro chiropractic. Volume discounts are available should you want to sell them to your patient and a kindle edition should hopefully be available in the future. Some time later in the year my wife hopes to publish a cookbook to complement this book.
