Dear Colleagues:
I hope you are doing well. We are back in Colorado seeing patients and teaching one on one seminars (see last page for details). We have now also learned enough new breakthrough material that those of you that have taken our 2012 seminar either in person or by DVD might want to come out for an advanced class. This class will cover those most difficult cases- especially lyme and other stealth infections of all types that have eluded traditional muscle testing (and even eluded our procedures) as well as other ways to uncover new findings in chronic patients. Also biofilms and how to deal with them in a safe and healthy way will be covered (blasting them with proteolytic enzymes can cause much damage to some patients).
I plan on teaching at ICAK in LA in June. There will be a preconference seminar which will be similar to the 2012 DVD (unless all the students are advanced), as well as giving a presentation with Dr Jeff Robinson on mycotoxins, and an evening session with Dr Steve Gangemi limited to students and new docs on beginning a practice both from a business and technique standpoint, for those that would rather have a lower volume more research oriented practice. I hope to see many of you there. Otherwise my only plans at this time to teach will be the one on ones here in Grand Junction.
We have lowered the price of our 2012 DVD to $160 ppd and it is available on our website. This has our whole seminar that we presently teach except for the mycotoxin material which is free in the “research papers” section of my website. Clinical tidbits
One thing I have found fascinating is the fact that some supplements won’t strengthen a weak indicator muscle in the clear until you have tested a particular stressor. For example if I screened a few antimicrobials like Morinda Supreme, Melia Supreme, and Golden Thread Supreme in the clear on a patient I suspect has a fungal issue, possibly none will strengthen. If I then screen fungal composite vials (AK Test Kits 1-888-323-0625) and let us say for example that fungus 1 weakens; then if I go back and screen the supplements again in the clear (not vs. the positive fungal vial) often the correct fungal remedy will now strengthen in the clear (and also block the vial). It is almost like the test of the diagnostic vials brings what you are doing to the bodies attention and you can get more precise information as a result. I’d love to know the neurology of that. Jonathan Lubetzky DC in Australia brought up how he sees that most often with the mycotoxin composite.
Case Histories- submitted by Sunmok Kim DC, Grand Junction, CO
1) Ellen is a 76 year old women who came with her son (for help explaining, etc.) and was suffering from a severe chronic “stomachache” for many years. She had acid reflux and constipation and intermittent hypertension. Milk usually caused severe stomachache. She couldn't sleep well due to her discomfort. She had nausea after every meal.
On observation and palpation, her whole abdomen was bloated like that of a 7month pregnant woman and very hard. Palpation also caused severe pain to the area.
On AK testing, Mixed Bacteria, Mixed Bartonella, Mixed Virus2, and the Mixed Internal Parasite vials were positive (AK Test Kits) and both Morinda Supreme and Melia Supreme (Supreme Nutrition 1-800-922-1744) blocked the microorganism vials. Hemoguard Supreme and a magnesium supplement also strengthened the indicator muscle.
She was trying some anti-acid supplements and enzyme supplements that another doctor prescribed to her, but they didn't seem to help her. In my testing she was reacting to those supplements. So, I told her and her son to avoid those supplements and only take the ones I prescribed above. Bilaterally, the small intestine NL’s were positive. Casein and Gluten were positive also.
She came back 2 weeks after with her son. The son said 90% of her symptoms diminished and he said “finally she (is) sleeping like baby”. Her BP was stable and her abdominal bloating and tenderness, as well as her constipation were also gone. She still had a little heart burn. Virus2 and Mixed Internal parasite vials still tested on second visit and Morinda Supreme blocked them. I prescribed Morinda Supreme, Takesumi Supreme and Reishi Supreme this time. I'm waiting 2 weeks to follow-up but we are all very pleased with her progress.
2) Jesse is a 31year old man who presented with severe chronic diarrhea of 1year duration. Every day he had watery mucus diarrhea after meals and it was it was getting worse. He is nurse in a local hospital. He had his gall bladder and appendix removed about 4 years ago. His MD prescribed Prilosec and Zantac for his diarrhea and stomach pain issues. He feels some sensitivity to wheat and beer but was still ingesting them. He suffered from very low energy and muscle weaknesses. He was also taking anxiety medication. He said the anxiety developed after since his diarrhea issue started.
Virus2, Bacteria1, Bartonella, Mycoplasma, Internal Parasite, External parasite, Rickettsia, Protozoa and Borrelia composites were positive. H. Pylorii, solanine, caffeine, theobromine, theophylline, paraxanthine, lactose, zein, gliadin were also positive. Morinda Supreme, Melia Supreme (Supreme Nutrition), Basic Nutrient III (Thorne) strengthened a weak indicator muscle. Bilateral TFL were very weak. Stomach, liver, adrenal NL’s were also positive on TL.
He followed the diet carefully and came back 2 weeks later. He said that the diarrhea stopped just a couple of days after he start taking the supplements. Bartonella still positive on the 2nd visit and blocked by Melia Supreme. So, he stayed on Melia, Basic Nutrients III and I add L-tryptophan and Pharma GABA for his anxiety issue and insomnia.
5 weeks from the initial visit (visit #3), he came back without any symptoms. He even stopped his anxiety medication including the L-tryptophan and Pharma GABA. The muscle weakness feeling also disappeared. He restarted his exercise which he couldn't do for a year. He is very happy now and watching his diet carefully though can get away with alittle gluten periodically.
