Happy New Year. I hope you are well. This is the 25th year of this newsletter. It started as a hard copy sheet to the 30 or so docs that attended my first solo seminar in 1989 in Charleston WV. It now goes to 1500+ docs and we hope you benefit from receiving it. Next month we hope to be announcing a new Supreme Nutrition product. This month a few case histories and other clinical info.
Clinical Info
1) I had a great conversation recently with Dr Evan Hirsch MD from Olympia WA. He led me to some published research that has shown that when you give Vitamin D to a patient- if you add Rosemary (he uses Rosemary Supreme 1-800-922-1744) the outcome is even better when it comes to normalizing vitamin D levels. This may be due to the effect of Rosemary on Vitamin D receptors. It has also proven very useful in hypothyroid cases.
This can be confirmed with AK as you will see that in many cases the combination of Vitamin D (whichever brand you prefer) with Rosemary Supreme will most often test better than just vitamin D alone. The dose of Rosemary can be 2-3 caps daily.
2) Another recent study showed that taking berberine compounds such as those in Golden Thread Supreme (1-800-922-1744) will lead to a remission in metabolic syndrome as well as an increase in insulin sensitivity -Metab Syndr Relat Disord. 2013 Oct;11(5):366-9. doi: 10.1089/met.2012.0183. Epub 2013 Jun 28.
3) Often times the need for 5MTHF can be missed with straight AK testing off a weak muscle. Many times it will test positive only by blocking the homocysteine vial (AK Test Kits 970-201-7406). In other circumstances it will only strengthen when you test vs. high methionine foods such as meats. These methods can help bring out “hidden deficiencies”. Be careful when prescribing 5MTHF. Sometimes by opening up methylation pathways, it may release some sequestered mercury from storage. You may want to retest metals, chemicals, etc. after the patient has been on 5MTHF for a week or two and treat accordingly (Takesumi Supreme, Schisandra Supreme, Glutathione, etc)

5. Body Restoration An Owners Manual - An updated and expanded version of my first book Body Mechanics published almost 30 years ago. Part 1 has a chapter on each organ/gland. Each chapter teaches basic anatomy and physiology, causes and symptoms of dysfunction, as well as simple treatments your patient can do at home to complement your treatment. Part 2 explains the role of dysbiosis, food intolerances, toxic metals, nutritional deficiencies and neurotransmitter imbalances in health. The book is a great review for the doctor, but better yet it is a great tool to recommend to your patient.
