We are happy to announce a seminar taught by Michael Lebowitz DC this spring. The West Coast Seminar will be on Sunday, April 26, 2015 at the Hilton San Francisco Airport Bayfront Hotel in Burlingame, CA 94010 (tel:650-340-8500). This is Dr. Lebowitz first Bay Area seminar in 20+ years.
This class will teach our whole protocol in its most updated version. You will learn quick and easy ways to test for and treat:
- dysbiosis (fungal, parasitic, bacterial, viral, Lyme)
- food sensitivities/toxicities
- metal toxicity
- chemical intolerance
- blood coagulation problems
- mycotoxins
- biofilms
- nutritional deficiencies and reactions etc.
You will find using these protocols will help many chronic conditions in patients including but not limited to fatigue, fibromyalgia, arthritis, most gastro-intestinal issues, dermatological conditions, asthma, headaches of all types, chronic musculoskeletal conditions, etc. You will be able to expand the conditions you treat and get consistent reproducible results. The class is suited for both the beginning and advanced practitioner. These techniques have been successful at increasing doctor’s referrals as well give the physician a broader understanding of chronic health issues.
Dr. Lebowitz has been teaching advanced AK seminars since 1987, has written 4 books, over 60 research papers and has won 4 awards from the International College of Applied Kinesiology for his papers and work. He is also secretary of the International College of Applied Kinesiology as well the program chair for the annual meeting.
Skills in basic muscle testing (how to discern a strong muscle from a weak one) are the only prerequisites. This class will also count towards ICAK diplomate hours.
Free airport shuttle is available. For those driving the fee for parking will be $4/day. There is a restaurant on site and one next to hotel.

Cost is $250. The class will run 9AM-5PM, Sunday. There will be much time for work-shopping as it is important to us that all who attend leave with a good understanding of the techniques and how to apply them. We encourage early registrations. We do not anticipate it being sold out but our NYC one was and we had to turn a few doctors away.
Discounts for students and assistants are available (half price) – you must call the above number to register with the discount –it is not available online. The seminar will be very similar to the 2014 one we did in NYC and Phoenix (available on DVD) though we will feature at least one new technique that will make you rethink how you prescribe nutritional products with AK and will make you a more effective prescriber.
Case Histories
The two case histories here were sent to me by one doc and a student who didn’t want their names associated with the cases (at least they never responded to my email asking permission).
1)Hi Michael,
Just wanted to update you on the patient that I had spoken to you about with lipoid pneumonia and Lyme (chronic).
She had been averaging SPO2 of 84 with almost constant oxygen use and of course no energy, etc. After just 3 weeks of inhaling the BFB# 1 and 2 her SPO2 was staying up at 98 with only occasional oxygen use.
She also had a chest x-ray that showed significant improvement in lung opacity. As she put it “I feel like I am back in the game”.
Comment: This is another great example of a creative physician. Did the BFB’s break down biofilms or was it just their antimicrobial properties being inhaled so they went directly to the lungs or both?
2) 24 year old female patient presented with multiple gastro intestinal issues, discomfort, food intolerances, cycling constipation and diarrhea.. etc. Symptoms began approximately 1 year ago, with symptoms worsening in the last 6 months, culminating with her having to take a break from the middle of chiropractic school to “get this figured out”. She has been to 15 doctors (MD’s, DC’s, and ND’s) in the last year. CDSA had no findings, Blood labs = some hyperthyroid/hypothyroid findings, lipids off, low vitamin D. Her last 2 MD’s including her GI doc suggested she be on antidepressants (since “it was all in her head” obviously). I suspected dysbiosis. She shows positive for several vials, Bacteria 1, Virus 1, Fungus 1, Mixed Candida, and of Mixed Parasites (AK Test Kits 1-970-201-7406). She strengthened to Supreme Nutrition Products (1-800-922-1744) Melia, Vital Guard and BFB2, then later showed for oral dysbiosis (Oral Defense was only thing that negated candida which only appeared over her mouth and esophagus… interesting). After 8 days on Melia and Vital Guard she has severe GI pain one night, wakes up and does a coffee enema the next morning. Finds a foot long tape worm in her stool. Next day finds 6 foot long tape worms and some long thin black “thing” that is likely some worm, but all broken up. She thinks if it were intact it would be several feet long. She still shows for several of the vials and Melia and Vital Guard along with the Oral Defense still strengthen. I will keep her on those for now and test her twice a week. This is one of my first “complex patients” and I have been using the vials and your protocol for maybe 2 weeks. Also I’m a 3rd year DC student….
Anyway, This is super cool for me as well as her I’m sure. I want to thank you for taking the time and energy to figure out a lot of this stuff. Can’t wait to get out of school so I can help people like this everyday.
Personal note:
We are heading back to Scottsdale and will be there at least into May so feel free to schedule to see me if you feel inclined. I had 3 goals during our time just spent in Hawaii. One was to get the metal pins and wires taken out of my knee. That went well and the knee is continuing to heal. There is quite a lot of evidence suggesting corrosion of metal implanted in the body does take place and I felt I was getting poisoned by the nickel/chromium alloy. It is too early to tell if having it removed will help alleviate some interesting symptoms that developed after having them implanted but we shall see.
Goal #2 was to take the SPEC exam so I could apply for licensure in states other than I am licensed in. I spent many hours studying material that I hadn’t looked at in 30+ years. The material isn’t very relevant to what I do but it is part of the process of changing licenses to various states. My memory did better than I expected and I did pass the exam.
Goal #3 was to finish writing a book I started writing after I broke my patella. It is a short volume and called God’s Preventative Medicine. Its main focus is on dysbiosis and biofilms in the book of Leviticus and what the priests did as preventative medicine to deal with it and other issues. It deals with a few other topics too. I finished the manuscript and we are putting the finishing touches on it and it hopefully will be available at least as an ebook by the next newsletter.

Each chapter teaches basic anatomy and physiology, causes and symptoms of dysfunction, as well as simple treatments your patient can do at home to complement your treatment. Part 2 explains the role of dysbiosis, food intolerances, toxic metals, nutritional deficiencies and neurotransmitter imbalances in health. The book is a great review for the doctor, but better yet it is a great tool to recommend to your patient. It will give them a better understanding of how their body works and the causes of health and disease, as well as the rationale of why you treat the way you do. It is very pro chiropractic.
