Dear Colleagues;

I hope you are well. Due to an

response our Dallas seminar is now closed for registration. We try to hold attendance to a manageable number for the workshops, so we can give individual attention as needed. We are thinking about teaching later this year in Atlanta and possibly Seattle though neither is definite at the moment. We thank all of you that support our work.

“New Product”

Thera Supreme caps- Mid American marketing 1-800-922-1744

Thera Supreme is now in capsules instead of powder. Since its inception Thera supreme was available as a powder and indicated as a supreme anti-oxidant/phytonutrient and a supplement that clinically appears to help the body excrete stored solanines and thus treat “solanine toxicity issues”. My job is to quality control all the raw material samples that come in with AK before the company decides whether to purchase (if it doesn’t pass AK analysis along with all the typical microbial, pesticide, and toxic metal analysis, it is rejected). Due to some new suppliers the last batch of powder tested to be much more potent and perform better. What I didn’t take into account was the increased potency also made it taste too strong for many palates and there were a number of people who gave us that feedback. As a result the people at Mid American Marketing via my recommendation decided to make it available as a capsule instead. Less volume is needed to get the same effect due to increased potency. The recommended dose for treating solanine issues is 2 caps 3x/day, while as an anti-oxidant we believe 4 caps a day is sufficient. Ingredients include

Bilberry- high in anthocyanin pigments, high in antioxidants, helps prevent atherosclerosis, reportedly helpful for night vision, macular degeneration and some heart conditions and other vascular disorders.

Blueberry- recent studies suggest blueberries may be useful in reducing cancer risk, slowing the cognitive decline in Alzheimer, controlling blood pressure and prevention of urinary tract infections. It can also be a good source of vitamin K as well as manganese.

Elderberry- another rich source of anti-oxidants and various phytonutrients - it has been shown to have anti-viral activity especially against certain strains of influenza (11, 12, 13). A good source of carotenoids and other nutrients.

Pomegranate- potent anti-oxidant with significant amounts of vitamins A, C, E, and folic acid. It also helps thin the blood and lower cholesterol.

Asparagus-supplies vitamins A,C,E, iodine, folic acid . Traditionally it has been used to strengthen the genito-urinary system and more recently has been used to help in people with various forms of cancer.

Black radish-one of the greatest detoxifiers and an activator of liver detoxification enzymes.

Coriander/Cilantro -contains an antioxidant that helps prevent animal fats from turning rancid (26). It is also mildly anti-bacterial and anti-fungal and used by some to chelate mercury and other heavy metals.

The last test vial supreme issued for this a few months ago is still valid and can be used.

For those of you that haven’t read it here is a link to a paper I wrote for ICAK on solanine sensitivity http://michaellebowitzdc.com/html/Solanine.html

CASE HISTORY JEFF ROBINSON DC -SCOTTSDALE AZ

Patient presents with eczema/psoriasis, joint pain in both knees and wrists, anxiety and sleeping difficulty. Testing with vials from AK Test Kits (1-970-201-7406) showed casein, gluten, solanine, theobromine/caffeine, albumin sensitivities. Mixed Borrelia, Mixed Fungus 1, Mixed Candida, Mixed Virus 2, Mixed Borrelia, Mixed Bartonella, Mercury, Helicobacter Pylori were also positive. Morinda Supreme, Golden Thread Supreme (Supreme Nutrition 1-800-922-1744) and Magnesium Citramate (Thorne) were prescribed. One month later on the patient follow up, patient lost 10lbs, joint pain complete gone, GI issues (constipation/gas/bloating) were gone but eczema/psoriasis remained so patient wasn’t completely happy. Follow up testing showed no pathogens but Morinda Supreme and Golden Thread Supreme continued to test so the patient was instructed to stay on products and diet. 3rd appointment no improvement of rash, so I tested directly over the rash and Fungus 1, Mixed Bartonella and Mixed Virus 1 were positive. BFB-1 negated all pathogens so I told patient to use small drops on toes and knee to see if any changes could be made while continuing Morinda and Golden Thread. Patient called 5 days later upset because she had to leave work from feeling extremely ill. She informed me that she had completely coated her psoriasis with BFB-1 and that night became extremely nauseous and fatigued coincidentally on the 4th day after doing this her rash started to disappear. After reminding her to only use drops on toes and knees I told her that she could continue but by not putting product directly on rash and use sparingly. Patient last followed up with 12/27 and 90% of the rash was gone.

ML note- we have heard a number of these cases. We do not recommend using higher than the prescribed dose of the BFB products but at times it has yielded very promising results. There is though, a chance of a negative skin reaction or a heavy herx reaction. Great case history Jeff!

ICAK news

1. The ICAK has 2 openings for board members. I presently am a board member. You have had to have been a member for 3 years and being on the board can help shape its direction etc. If you may be interested in filling one of these positions let me know ASAP.

2. The ICAK will hold its annual meeting this year in Las Vegas. As program chair I have tried to make it a very clinically oriented conference. Great place to schmooze and learn. Read about the meeting and get a tentative schedule here:

4. Body Restoration An Owners Manual - An updated and expanded version of my first book Body Mechanics published almost 30 years ago. Part 1 has a chapter on each organ/gland. Each chapter teaches basic anatomy and physiology, causes and symptoms of dysfunction, as well as simple treatments your patient can do at home to complement your treatment. Part 2 explains the role of dysbiosis, food intolerances, toxic metals, nutritional deficiencies and neurotransmitter imbalances in health. The book is a great review for the doctor, but better yet it is a great tool to recommend to your patient. It will give them a better understanding of how their body works and the causes of health and disease, as well as the rationale of why you treat the way you do. It is very pro chiropractic. It is available for $1.99 on kindle at http://www.amazon.com/Body-Restoration-Owners-Manual-ebook/dp/B0050653C4/ref=sr_1_1?s=digital-text&ie=UTF8&qid=1353354004&sr=1-1 or in paperback http://www.amazon.com/body-restoration-Dr-Michael-Lebowitz/dp/146100294X/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1432251114&sr=8-2&keywords=michael+lebowitz+kapadia

6. God’s Preventative Medicine- my latest book is now available in paperback. It explains how the Levitical Priests dealt with fungal dysbiosis both preventatively and treatment wise as well as the reasons behind some of the other health laws of the Torah. It is a short easy to understand book and fascinating for the student of health and the Bible http://www.amazon.com/Gods-Preventative-Medicine-Discoveries-Instructions/dp/150892824X/ref=sr_1_2?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1432251151&sr=1-2
